NEXT RRS EVENT: $UPER SUNDAY SERIES - Sunday April 3rd, 4pm!
Wichita Falls, TX (03/24/16) by DarinShort.com. Red River Speedway's (RRS) $UPER Sunday Series returns as the next scheduled event on Sunday, April 3rd at 4pm.
Headlining the event will be the Sprint Series of Oklahoma (SSO), plus the same $uper-sized purses as on March 20th for the USRA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods and Mini Stocks.
The first $uper Sunday Series event on March 20th drew an excellent field of cars - although it was held on a very cool and windy day. Hopefully the weather on April 3rd will be a little more fan friendly and racing surface friendly, as Red River Speedway is offering one of the strongest competitor purses in the region.
Red River Speedway $uper Sunday Series Round #2 - Sunday April 3rd, Hot Laps 3:30pm, Racing 4pm. Pits open at Noon, Stands open 2pm. Draw cut off is 3pm. Complete details are listed below.
- Sprint Series of Oklahoma purse and rules are posted at http://www.facebook.com/SprintSeriesOfOklahoma (SSO is for RaceSaver Sprint Car legal cars and IMCA Sanctioned. RRS Champ Sprint Cars can race with the SSO - only if they meet the 2016 SSO rules edits for Champ Sprint cars.)
- $1,000/win and $120/start USRA sanctioned Modifieds!
- $500/win and $70/start IMCA sanctioned Southern SportMods!
- $500/win and $70/start IMCA sanctioned Stock Cars! (RRS ProStocks are OK - read rules on RRS site)
- $350/win and $50/start Mini Stocks! (RRS Mod4 legal cars are OK - read rules on RRS site)
- No RRS entry fees in any racing divisions! All pit passes are $35, Adult tickets $15.
- Mufflers and working RaceCeivers are required for all racing divisions at RRS.
- IMCA points awarded for Sprints, SSM and Stock Cars. USRA points awarded for Modifieds.
There will be a complete program of heat races and features in each division, and our goal is to have the racing conclude by the time the sun is going down (which is at 8pm this time of year), so everyone can get back on the road home at an early time.
Here's the $uper payback Red River Speedway is offering for this event on Sunday, April 3rd:
Sprint Series of Oklahoma: An A-feature purse of $6,100 is posted, and there is $100 for any SSO non-qualifier or non-starter. A-feature purse breakdown: $700 - 500 - 400 - 350 - 325 (5th) - 300 - 275 - 250...to start.
USRA Modifieds: $1,000 - 500 - 400 - 300 - 250 (5th) - 200 - 180 - 160 - 140 - 120...to start! Any NQ or Non-Starters receive $100 each.
IMCA Southern SportMods: $500 - 400 - 300 - 200 - 150 (5th) - 125 - 100 - 90 - 80 - 70...to start. Any non-starter or non-qualifier will each receive $40.
IMCA Stock Cars (RRS Pro Stock legal cars are invited to race in this division): $500 - 400 - 300 - 200 - 150 (5th) - 125 - 100 - 90 - 80 - 70...to start. Any non-starter or non-qualifier will each receive $40.
RRS legal Mini Stocks (and RRS rules Mod4 legal cars are invited to race in this division): 350 - 250 - 150 - 125 - 100 (5th) - 80 - 60 - 50...to start. Any non-starter or non-qualifier will each receive $40.

Here are the specifics for the Sunday, April 3rd, $uper Sunday Series event at Red River Speedway:
-Sunday, Pits open by Noon, Grandstands open at 2pm, Draw Cut-Off at 3pm, Hot Laps at 3:30pm, Racing starts at 4pm. General Admission just $15 (ages 12 to 64; tickets available on race day only), Kids (ages 6-11) just $5, Ages 5 and under admitted free with Adult admission (grandstand only), Active Military and Seniors (Ages 65+): $12. All Pit Passes $35 for all ages.
-No outside food, drinks and/or coolers allowed through ticket gates; a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available.
