I'm interested in renting a suite at Knoxville. Not the HOF Suites, but the Suites that (I assume) are above the grandstands on the frontstretch. Anybody have any knowledge or experience renting them? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

personally, I'm not a fan of the suites (but maybe that's because I enjoy the other fans in the stands and the freedom of finding a different vantage point if I want), but the above link has a lot of info. Last I knew, suites were in high demand (including some that pay for the season to only use 4 days during Nationals).

A couple of years ago, I tore my ACL in my knee. My local track (Lakeside Speedway) had individual suite tickets for sale that were not much more expensive than a regular GA ticket. At first, I did it to protect my knee and to give me more space. However, I could see how you could get spoiled in a suite. Temperature in the suite was always better than the temperture outside, warm on a cold night and cool on a hot night. You could control the volume of the announcer in the suite. When he went on a silly rant during intermission, you could simply turn him off. Bathrooms for the suites were really nice and close. Concession stand for the suites was again very close and the lines were never long.
You did miss the smells coming from the track and the sounds were muted. Some of the site lines in some of the suites were a little off, but there were a lot of other things that made up for it. I could see how someone could get hooked.

Thanks for the link to the Knoxville website. I guess I'm more interested in what the suites actually LOOK like. I'm planning a trip down there with my son and parents and about 10 other people, and before committing to the suites, I am looking for more info on the actual environment. One benefit of the suites is that one can bring all the food and beverages in. Thanks again.

Be sure and look at the Hall of Fame suites also. With the outside seating there, I feel they are a better experience.
ive got pictures of the insides of both options somewhere.

You view is sometimes blocked by the people in the other suites if they don't sit down or stand further back. Further back you can't get a good view of the front stretch. If you have it all to yourself, your group, then you can control what goes on. If you share a suite you don't know what you are getting into, bad behavior and all.
