He is a good announcer but IMO its time to say something different on that parade lap,he is good enough to come up with something else im sure of it, also would like the music they he plays between hot lap sessions and heat races to be updated instead of the tired songs that get played, when you travel around as much as I do to watch Woo you would understand where i was coming from. If you want some better music Johnny ask the fans what they want and im sure you would get a positive outpouring of new songs if your not to familar with what is in and what is dead........ Not complaining I just would like to see Johnny take a refresher course on his work and entertain us for our money spent on watching the show that it is, music is powerfull and it always has been and would set the tone and the mood even higher then what it is while were watching

I don't go to the races to hear the announcer. If I did, I'd go to an auction instead. Once the green flag drops, he could be speaking Latin for all I give a shit because my eyes and ears are on the track. That's just my opinion but regardless, I do like his pre-race call and it has become a tradition now so I don't think he needs to change it. Personally, I think he's the best announcer in sprint car racing hence the reason he's employed by the premier series in sprint car racing. Johnny is truly the voice of the Outlaws and it wouldn't be the same without him and his signature call. I still get chills when he reels if his "you wanted the best, you got em four abreast" call. Absolutely love it.

Do you even kow why there are support classes ? There are support classes because if it was only the Outlaws the show could be over so fast the promoters would loose there butt... I am sure they use those classes and a intermission  to sell more food, beer , etc so they can atleast break close to even .....

You guy's don't know how lucky you are to have a commentator as talented as Johnny Gibson. His knowledge of the sport is outstanding and the little tidbits about drivers he throws into the commentary provide enhancement. The research he does prior to each show comes through in his commentary.

As someone who doesn't get the opportunity to go to top level Sprintcar shows it is a priviledge to be there when Johnny launches into "You wanted the best you've got them 4 abrest".

If Johnny stopped saying that it would be like going to a boxing bout with Michael Buffer not saying "Let's get ready to rumble". It's become part of the tradition of the World of Outlaws show and personally I love hearing it.

Damn dude. Pour yourself a drink, have a seat and calm down. I wasn't trying to be cute or cocky & I don't know what the hell would make you think that I was. All I did was disagree with you and I stated my personal opinion. The fact is, there is no right answer to this argument. Announcers, just like music, food, sports etc. are all in the eye of the beholder. Some people in less developed countries enjoy the hell out of eating crickets but I'll be damned if I ever will. What's good to them and what's good to me are 2 different things and neither is right or wrong. I didn't step on my comment at all. The point I was making was, good announcer, bad announcer.....doesn't bother me. Of course I listen to them when there isn't any racing going on. Kinda hard not to isn't it? All I was saying was, I personally enjoy Johnny's signature call. It's a part of the experience for me and I'm sure many others. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it yet you have grown tired of it. Maybe some day he'll change it up maybe he won't. Just opinions man. Nothing personal. I hope you as well as your family and friends all have a merry Christmas as well.

I think he's a good announcer, but I think there are quite a few out there as good or better.    At the Nationals I thought it was the Australian pit announcer that was by far the best one that I heard.   I think his name was Wade Aunger?    Hope he's at the Nationals again this year.     As for Mr. Gibson's pre feature scream, it's not a big deal but I find it annoying.

JG is one of the best. I typically don't pay much attention to announcers when I'm at the track, but I do enjoy his talents when listening on dirtvision. He paints a good picture of what's going on

Sorry I agree its time for Johnny to change it up a little , just like whole Outlaw pre-show , while he is knowledgeable  , he is a long way from a good announcer . But then I don't go to  hear the announcer , I want to  see good racing . But it is the same stick over and over again but you guys like him  and you  are entitled to like what you like , so don't come down on me for not liking MR.GIBSON .

I guess I annoy you like Johnny annoys me , you know what he will say before he says it . I SUPPOSE you can't take strong
opinions Mr. Maddog53 . Or just  I have to agree with you and all your friends on here. Opinions and sometime facts can make people think , can you sir .
