I know  everyone has an opinion on the local racing in central Pa , so how do you rank the racing at the various tracks ?  here are my thoughts, I know many will disagree  with me on this .
                                             1. Grandview - every division puts on a good show , not a good racing facility

                                             2.  Susquehanna - never seen a bad race there , should be better with new clay

3   Lincoln - tight racing but good , needs to be wider so don't get caught up in accident

                                             4.  Port Royal - good racing for big 1/2 mile , good racing surface better then some

                                             5.  Path Valley - tight 1/4 mile but alot of action ,haven't been there but fans like it

                                             6.  Selinsgrove - the best 360 races anywhere on a Saturday , and the 410 shows are good

                                             7.  Williams Grove -track has not been good , its too big for me , need horsepower

If Susquehanna never has a bad race why do they need new clay? Why mess with a track that always has good racing and never puts on a bad show? Wouldn't that money be better spent on other improvements since the racing surface is already providing good racing every night?

Susky is one of those rare tracks where despite the shitty surface, it still does produce good racing. It definitely could use some new clay but I think the biggest problem is how it's been prepped or lack thereof. It's been very rough lately and that's driven a lot of teams away. The last few races they had were pretty bad as far as track prep. There were parts of the track that seemingly were unwatered altogether. One of which was a decent sized spot right in the hammer lane coming off turn 4 and huge, blinding dust clouds were the result. They also don't have many vehicles to run it in with so lately, the track wasn't even fully packed in by the time they started and they just ran on it like that. Hence the rough conditions. Susky is gonna be the best track in Pa if Gobrecht does with it what I think he'll do. Kolten Gouse was a great addition to the team and he'll play a large role as well. I'm more curious as to why Altman said Williams Grove is too big and requires horsepower. First off, I'm pretty sure every race track big and small requires at least some horsepower. Secondly, Port Royal is a big half mile that requires some major ponies to get around and he's always raving about how awesome Port is. He loves Selinsgrove as well which is a ? mile......bigger than both Port Royal and Selinsgrove so obviously, he doesn't know what he's talking about. He also said Williams Grove's track surface hasn't been good and that's complete bullshit. A couple times this season, it wasn't good but the same can be said for damn near every Dirt track in the country. They all miss it once in awhile. Sometime dirt just has a mind of its own and because of weather or a million other factors, you get a shitty surface even when it was prepped well. Dirt track preparation has never been, and never will be an exact science and you'd think someone who seems to know so much like Altman would realize that. When it comes right down to it, he just doesn't like Williams Grove because they didn't let him set up a table for his imaginary fan club. Same with Lincoln.

The problem with Dusty...I mean Susky is...Well...Its so damn Dusty you can see the race!

I have no problem with dust at the races...But I gotta be able to see the race through the dust atleast!

I'm sure the new owners will address..

Meant to say Selinsgrove was a 5/8 mile but for some reason a ? appeared after I posted it.

I will gladly answer any of your questions anytime you ask  Sir fiXXXer , just ask and no I don't know what you think I know. I have nothing against Grove or Lincoln ,but I don't care for the racing at either for various reasons and not about any set up problems I had in past with either,  Lincoln was Ok but not Grove .  Don't think the Grove was that good this year because every week cars aways ran high or one groove so I don't think prep was that good and yes I know its not always consistent .I don't really always care for the 1/2 mile tracks but they care more about the fans then the Grove or Lincoln , just look at what there doing especially at Port but now the other tracks are updating facilities, and thats good for fans like you and me . Also Grove's straight aways are too long thats why  I say it requires more horsepower . Yes , I also am aware that that Port and Selinsgrove require horsepower as well . And yes your right even though surface was bad at Susky the racing was good . Hopefully it will be even better with new clay on it at Susquehanna . Let me say this I also make a lot of my comments   based on what I think is good for fans like you ,not me or any personal issues , I CARE ABOUT FANS MORE THEN ANYTHING ELSE TO GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH .  I hope that is not so wrong and when i did have my organizations it was done for fans and yes I enjoyed doing it for the fun I saw people get from it , is that so wrong ?.

You claim that Lincoln doesn't care about the fans as much as Port Royal or Selinsgrove. You said you'd gladly answer my questions so here's one for you. Do you care to present any evidence to prove that Lincoln doesn't care enough about their fans? I'm really interested to see what you have to say because I've always felt like Lincoln cared more about the fans and the teams than most other tracks so please Bob, tell me why Lincoln doesn't care as much about us as Port Royal and Selinsgrove does.

I CARE ABOUT GOOD RACING MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE TO GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH! Because that is what every fan but you pays their money to see. I know you buy a ticket to look at toilets and bleachers and the rest of the facilities. Every body else pays their money to see a good race. If you do not think you get your moneys worth from a good race because the concession food wasn't great or the toilets were not nice enough when you went to take a crap or they play the same music between heat races all the time then you are NOT A RACE FAN! You are just a clown that is only happy when you can find something to complain about.

Yes, everything could be made better. Not just in sprint car racing, but everything in the world. Nascar, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, dirt late models, government, international relations, health care, etc could all be better.  But we do not live in a perfect world and never will!

I have figured it out but if he's gonna throw accusations around at Lincoln Speedway saying they don't care enough about the fans, he needs to back it up with some facts. Something tells me he won't answer me. He'll disappear for another 6 weeks or he'll reply but not actually give any detailed facts and or opinions and or evidence to back up his claim that Lincoln Speedway doesn't care about fans. He's full of shit. I'm a Port Royal regular but I love Lincoln too and make many trips there every season and the place never fails to put on a good show. The only bad race I've ever seen there that wasn't one of the early season daylight shows, was one of their speedweek shows this year and it was 100% weather. They ran the cushion in before the feature then a steady wind picked up and turned it to crumbs and everyone was stuck on the bottom. Some of the late winter shows have been less than stellar but that's to be expected sometime when the track still has frost in it and at that point in the season, I don't give a shit because after a long winter, just seeing sprint cars again is plenty good enough for me.

No thanks lol. You can just sit with Boob. No way in hell would I sit there and listen to him bitch and whine all night. I go to the races to enjoy myself. That wouldn't be possible sitting with him. You on the other hand would probably be a riot.

1. Lincoln - very tight racing a lot of side by side racing

2. Susky - very tight racing a lot of passing all the time

3. Selinsgrove - mulitple grooves and a lot of passing week in and week out

4. Williamsgrove - Best of the best go here and some good racing

5. Path Valley - Very tight racing a lot of passing.

6. Port Royal - Good racing but can't get excited about going there.  Desert like conditions as the year went on.

7. Grandview - You mean they race?....I will never go to Grandview again!!

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Rather then highlight each comment , let me see if I came sum it up what you want to know . I admit Lincoln is not  one of my  favorite tracks  , it use to be years ago but they changed the track with inside guard rail for safety reasons . You use to go around on the inside even better before . Why , you say, well it is too tight for me , the cars don't sound like they do at other tracks  to me maybe  because of gearing or some other reason ? not sure what it is . Most of the time  I see to many accidents , as one guy spins out and there is nowhere to go .
Facts are they have not improved the conditions at Lincoln in over 5 years or more , where all the others have except  Grandview , Susky ,( whoops now they are,  thanks to Scott Gobrecht ) , and now even Path Valley is thanks to Fred Rahmer . Ok , maybe it has good racing in your book but not mine , I know good racing  is the number one thing you go to see . But to me  not making improvements in the  facility that is probably making more money then the other tracks is the one reason I see that they don't care about you the fans .  I know thats not important to you ? well what about the new fans coming to watch the races ?  Isn't it a good idea to let the new fans  see or experience a clean facility ? Not concrete bleachers , poor track food, except the  outside vendors food which everyone likes . These are facts but it may not matter to you ? I care to see new fans come to watch our racing not at rustic non-creative facilities . Also don't worry I don't complain while racing is going on, this  is something my critics created . I care about it all don't  YOU ? GUYS  . Another fact is  everyone is so  loyal that supports Lincoln, is  maybe the main  reason they don't improve the venue because it packed weekly not because of the racing but because of the location . If some of the other tracks had the location they would be packed as well . And i take everything into account not just the racing , I guess you guys don't . So if they cared they would do things differently  wouldn't they ?  No , I am not happy complaining  I just POINT OUT FACTS AND MY OPINIONS THAT BOTHER YOU GENTLEMEN , THAT DON'T EVEN KNOW ME .Thanks for another round  of great debate of opinions . I write these comments cause  I CARE, NOT TO  READ THEM .

If you cared about ANYBODY you would stay the fuck away from anything resembling a keyboard. You can't type worth a shit or convey anything that would make you sound the least bit intelligent any way. Create a message board of your own so you can argue with yourself because I can assure you nobody else will be there joining in the discussion and you will not be missed here.

I disagree! We have some racey tracks here that put on some good shows! Also, the KWS and Civil war didnt compete against each other this year! Some races were $5000 to win, but most were $3000. Do you go to many local races? My favorite tracks are Tulare, Placerville, Petaluma, Antioch, Ocean, Stockton, and Chico!

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting
racecars on dirt!
