Sorry, but right now there isn't a driver out there able to do it because there just isn't a team capable of beating Schatz and TSR that can get the job done.

Sorry, write-ins noted but Hoseheads only allows 8 poll entries. I would have nominated Abreu also but didn't want to waste a spot on him because he's already NASCAR bound. Everyone knows Meyers can do it with the right team if he wanted to. Saldana has come close. Lasoski is a little bit long in the tooth but has been fast this year and he has done it before. Blaney is also running out of good years to try, would love to see him get a shot. Dollansky has been a contender with the Outlaws in the past with the right team.

As long as it's a fantasy I'll play. Dale Blaney isn't available so why not DAVE. That's my pick. Just wonder what 2 Veterans Sammy and Dave to do as a team.

Donny Schatz is not going to be getting dethroned by anyone any time soon. He is the man right now and there isn't anyone else on his level and I don't even think there's anyone right now who is capable of getting there in the foreseeable future. We had some kid named Kyle Larson who I think probably had the best chance as well as Christopher Bell and Rico who may have had a ceiling just as high but that chance is gone now that they'll be driving shitboxes every sunday and making millions.

The only way you can beat Shatz is to put a team on the road that already has excellent chemistry. Only team I can think of is the 51s but I know pigs will fly first. What Donnie and Ricky have been beating everybody with is something you can't buy and that's chemistry.
Ricky knows what Donnie needs to be fast and Donnie knows how to make the most out of a car when Ricky misses the setup.

Chemistry - the one thing you can't buy no matter how much money you got.
Lots of money and good drivers were thrown at Steve and Karl and many years they didn't even got close - and Steve and Karl likely spent less money than those trying to beat them.
CJB is a great example. Fred looked downright awful in it in 2012 - washed-up.
A new year and a new team proved otherwise.

There are many more lows then there are highs in racing and if an owner cannot accept that with the money they are spending it will always be an issue! This is a SPORT that rely on some hard working person(s) to make available and is only supported if the faith and happiness of that hard working person is kept. Some have higher expectations and that alone can be detrimental.
