I work for Caterpillar and am going to suggest they sponsor Dan Motters team. What other construction tools companies have sponsored teams in the past? I can only think of Wirtgen.

A lot of them have been involved with NASCAR. Off the top of my head I can think of:
Cat, John Deere, Doosan, SANY, Nations Rent, New Holland, Komatsu, and Hitachi. That's just off the top of my head though. I'm sure there's more.

Siemens, Hamm (part of Siemens), Ditch Witch, Toyota, you could maybe even include Freightliner and Bad-Boy, they do a lot.

Motter is in the search for a corporate sponsor which would be every car owners dream situation. Obviously even for a company as big as Motters that is a multi million dollar deal.
Too me it shows how far out of control racing even at the dirt level has become. If Smoke & Kasey ever decide to leave the sport the WOO is a done deal.
Just food for thought as for the future of this beloved sport we all enjoy!!

Actually if Smoke and Kasey walked away, the two biggest spenders, it might open the door for those teams with less budget to gain control. Costs can be reduced, provided the teams with lesser money have a real say in the rules that pertain to those costs. As it is, the top money teams are able to make it nearly impossible for anyone other than an equal in wallet size to be a real competitor. That, in my opinion is the out of control factor in dirt racing.
