81 Speedway Announces Ten to Win for Sprints in 2016!
Park City, Kansas – October 11, 2015 - During the season finale for the National Championship Racing Association sprint car season finale at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas this past Saturday night, October 10, track owner and promoter C Ray Hall announced that the sixth annual “Air Capital Shootout” will pay $10, 000 to the winner and $500 just to start the twenty-four car feature finale. The event will also be the first event for the inaugural National Sprint League 360 national tour.
A one day event the previous years, the 2016 rendition will be a three day event at 81 Speedway scheduled for Thursday through Saturday night, March 24-26, 2016. Thursday night will be an open practice session with a special “time trial session” that will pay $500 for quick time, $300 for second quick and $200 for third quick time. There will be a $10 entry fee for the special time trial session and will have no bearing on Friday and Saturday night’s events.
Friday night’s race action will pay $1500 to the night’s feature winner and $250 to start the twenty-four car feature finale.
The “Air Capital Shootout” paid $3000 to start back in 2011 and Hall had promised the event would grow larger each year. The following year the winners share paid $5000 before this year’s fifth annual event paid $3000 to win. Danny Lasoski (2011, 2015) and Jason Johnson (2012, 2013) are two-time winners of this event while Kevin Swindell picked up the win in 2014.
