Are the races cancelled or still a go?

Weather looks good. Basically no chance of rain and possibly some sun.

i know I have gotten a ton of water here about 1 1/2 hours south of the Grove. I'm curious how much they got and what kinda shape the track will be in tomorrow.  I'm hoping for the best being I'm gonna be there.

Financially at this point it's better to move it to a Thirsday-Friday show like they planned.  Parking areas are a swamp and mud pit.

Wondering if somebody can give me a no bullshit answer on this. How's the track and are they actually going to get everything going at 5? Reason I ask is I was going to bring my 11 year old daughter and don't want to keep her out later than needed because of school etc.

I know the track crew is gonna do their best and I'm not questioning that, it's just a ways for me to drive and I would hate to sit around and not get started until 6:30 or 7 because the track didn't shape up. I will be there, just trying to figure out if I should leave the kiddo at home. Hmmmmm

From the looks of it, the track should be okay, hoping for a 530 start but not counting on it. I'm worried about how wet the grounds are, and how bad parking will be.

According to the official Twitter accounts of Williams Grove, the WoO and Johnny Gibson, they're definitely running today. They posted a picture of the track and it looked surprisingly good. I can't comment as to what the lots are like or anything else but I'd assume they're not exactly great after the recent weather.

I forgot to add that none of them said anything about a delayed start so I'd assume at this point, everything is on schedule. Hope that helps.

The "words" are horrible track conditions and half empty grandstand.

Thr real word is BUFFERING, what a joke.  In between racesit's fine once the green flag flies, the BUFFERING starts.  A lap or  two a race is what I've seen so far, dand DIRTVISION....

The best go all the way to China to get their cars and smash Chris Eash's 1987 track record.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

2 outlaws in the to 10...Pittman eekeD in but only after Hodnett and Marks got hooked together and both had to restart from the rear.

tonight was an 18-19 second track...which begs the question...

how slow does the worlds slowest half mile have to get before the outlaw also rans are fast enough to make the top 10?

moving chicane award goes to Kerry Madsen...who must not have realized he was getting lapped after he took a provisional.

Track wasn't too bad at all given the amount of rain we had. I actually thought it was pretty decent regardless of weather or not. As for 1/2 empty grandstands, it was pretty sparse in places, but you would have to kinda expect that after all the weather they have had and having to move the race back to a Sunday.  Sunday's are just tough particularly with school in session and such.  The Grove was between a rock and a hard place and there really wasn't a damn thing they could do about it.  It was just a case of doing what wa stage best for most of the fans.

I actually ended up bringing my 4 year old with me (11 year old didn't want to go for whatever reason).  While she had an absolute blast I'm sure the preK teacher is going to catch hell from her tomorrow LOL.

Exactly. I've been very critical of Williams Grove many times since Pinky started running it into the ground but I gotta give them props on this one. Circumstances don't get much shittier than what they had to deal with this weekend and all in all, I think they handled things as well as anyone could. The track was harder than hell to start the night but they went out after time trials and did a great job bringing it back. Let's face it, you don't usually have to look too far to find something to bitch about when it comes to Williams Grove but I'll always give credit where its due and they deserve it for how they handled things this weekend. I would never want to be the one to have to call the shots in such an impossible situation.

No wonder Madsen has whined in the past about Williams Grove. Madsen, Jason Johnson and Tim Shaffer were all in the D-main. Adding an Outlaw that in the D-main adds to the show?

Did anyone else following the twitter feeds from home notice the CJB team accusing someone (the winning team) of cheating after time trials?
