If nothing else, Huset's future should be interesting to watch unravel and I do believe "unravel" is more fitting than "unfold".

Not that expensive when compared to going to a lot of concerts and what they cost with all the fees, especially.

Well, it isn't a concert......and that's not far from the price of the last two nights of the Knoxville Nationals.

I wont support that bullshit! That just got rid of the family of four and the teenagers so maybe he should rethink this and have the stands full for half the price or have it a third full at $75 a head'. I hope this guy has lots of money because he's going to lose a bunch of it.

Seems like a bit of a reach for an unproven show. I would think one would start lower and if the event is highly successful then hike it up year to year. My Sat chili bowl ticket is $61 and there was like 25 features last year. When I heard about this event I said to myself I'm going to that, then I saw the ticket prices and whoa. Seems silly cause it will probably cost me more in gas and lodging to be there but those are big ticket prices for what we are used to, makes you think twice

He wants everyone to get one of his super high interest loans to buy his race ticket. That way he gets to screw you twice!

Baahahaha! A paradox for the fans, it seems. The payday loan guy's also charging the highest price, single race ticket in Sprint Car racing history. I also heard he's prohibiting all of his Dollar Loan Center "customers" from purchasing 50/50 tickets at the race track, doesn't want them paying those loans back too soon...here's $500, don't worry too much about paying it back, take as long as you'd like.

if you don't like it then just don't go. complaining about it on here won't do anything.

I'm all for this guy promoting the hell out of big events but you can't be surprised if he's going to rub a bunch of people the wrong way by not only charging more than a single day ticket to the Nationals costs, but also his decision to go head to head with Knoxville to begin with.

This guy is emulating what Eddie Sachs once said: " If you can't win be spectacular." It's a once a year show and possibly a huge one. If I would come up from Indiana to see it it doesn't matter what the tickets cost relative to the total cost of the trip. Hey, at least the guy is dreaming and that's better than having nightmares, nightmares which may occur if this deal falls flat. He's got people talking about the event  and at this early stage any publicity is good publicity. He's trying something different so give it a chance.

He's not going head to head with Knoxville. He's having a 410 show at Huset's/Badlands on Saturday nights. Knoxville is Knoxville, is Knoxvile, is Knoxville, is Knoxville. Nothing can ever be Knoxville except for Knoxville. Doesn't matter where or when, it isn't Knoxville and never will be. I don't quite understand all the resignation. Unfortunately it can only lead to cinicism and the inability to see a positive change when it slaps you in the face.

Well you go right ahead and pay the $75.00. I'll read about it and use my money to go to 2 or 3 other races.

It's double the price of our local World of Outlaws shows and about three times the cost to get into the Jerry Richert Sr. Memorial earlier this month.  The Memorial featured 39 IRA/NSL 410's and full fields of UMSS 360's and UMSS Traditional Sprints.  No motel or two tanks of gas, both shows were a half hour from home.  Do you really think that $75 price tag, ten hours of highway time, two tanks of gas, meals and motel are going to be worth the trip?  Dirt track fans are blue collar working people who typically bring a car full of family and/or friends.  I've got a non-race-fan wife who would balk at those prices, live five hours away and get media passes at some of my local tracks.  I think I'll stay put for this one.  I can read the box scores and watch the Feature on YouTube the next day.  wink

For the 6 million dollar investment to improve the place to a premier facility, and on top of that pay 50k to win for wing and non wing winners at the same event, I would be willing to take a chance on that ticket price.  It might be worth it in the end.  Might be $20-$30 too high per night, but again, big investment risk on the promotors end.   I hope it sells out and more promoters take note and are willing to invest in their facilities. You need a tetnis shot just to sit in the stands at some tracks we take our families to.  I don't want the weekly price out of sight, but a few premium events the track can make a killing on would be great if like Knoxvile and Badlands they invest much of it back in the facility.

Also add pretty good qualifying bonus first through fifth.
