Anyone have a guess on car count for NSL race at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska Sept. 11?

I don't have any idea what the car count is but I do find a bit of an odd twist in that NSL is at Eagle on Friday and Cedar Lake on Saturday with the IRA.  IRA has a long standing tradition of being part of the Friday portion of the Northen Nationals in Superior, Wisconsin.  Superior is around 150 miles north of Cedar Lake so I'm surprised that the NSL didn't band together for both shows with the IRA.  I'll be down at Saint Croix Valley that Friday for the UMSS so there are a lot of choices that weekend.  Nebraska is quite a haul when there's two nights of racing 40 minutes from the end of the driveway so obviously people up in our neck of the woods will stay close to home that weekend.

I'm wondering about that myself Rev........we had 30 (including a few 360's) at the spring NSL race, but that was a double header with Knoxville on the Saturday (which is considerably closer than Wisconsin) ......we could see a few more Knoxville regulars than we had in the spring, as several were saving their equipment for the Saturday show.....our Nebraska Cup weekend has been traditionally this weekend for years as has your race up there......hopefully both will be good........SC

Looking at a map, 450 miles is a hike. Let alone a team that needs to get a car turned around with maintenance for a second day of racing! Hope it works out.

IRA is the only traveling sanctioning body that does not help from other groups to put on a show so co-sanctioning really doesn't help the IRA. I am sure Superior likes getting 20-25 sprint cars as they usually have the pits jammed with fendered cars that are there all weekend plus I am sure they do not want to pay the extra purse.

I dont see anything about NSL. it is RaceSaver 305 IMCA Sprints. The flyer nor Eagle website says nothing about NLS on Friday. Also, here is link to NSL schdule.

http://www.nationalsprintleague.com/schedule/

Maybe something has changed though so please clarify how you think NSL is there Friday? That would be a hell of a show to make my long 3 mile journey to. if so I will go Friday instead of Sunday.

Wasn't the Jackson Nationals an NSL race? Any chance Sammy might show up?

For $3911 to win?  No, not unless they paid show up money, which they won't.
