Two Nights of NCRA Late Model Action This Labor Day Weekend!
Park City, Kansas – August 31, 2015 - Daniel Smith will lead the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products/NeSmith Weekly Racing late model tour back into action this coming Labor Day weekend with a double-header of race action slated at two different venues.
It all kicks off this coming Saturday night (September 8) at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas before heading north to the famed Belleville High Banks Speedway in Belleville, Kansas for their annual Sunday Labor Day holiday weekend appearance. Both events will pay $1000 to win and $30 to start each night’s feature finale where outlaw and crate motors are allowed.
Smith currently holds a 50 point lead over Chris Kratzer while Delbert Smith sits just 75 points out of the point lead with three scheduled point races left for the “gladiators” of the late model division for 2015.
Fourth through tenth positions in the point standings include: Dusty Leonard, 2015 Hutchinson Grand Nationals Champion Damian Patocka, Darrick Klima, Ryan Grit, Lyle Shepard, Jeremy Petty and Joe Gorby.
Daniel Smith also holds a 130 point lead over Klima in the tours rookie of the year standings.
Seven events have been completed thus far on the 2015 NCRA/NeSmith late model schedule with Nebraska’s Brian Kosiski leading the way with two feature victories, including the last time the tour visited the High Banks back on July 5th. Other feature winners include Daniel Smith, Delbert Smith, Kip Hughes, Potocka and Ryan Gustin.
Gates for both the 81 Speedway and Belleville High Bank Speedway shows open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for 7:00 PM. Adult grandstand tickets at both venues are $15 for adults and $5 for kids while all pit passes will be $30 for both nights.
Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing slated for a 7:00 PM start time. 81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 mile west on 77th street in Park City.
The Belleville High Banks is located 2.0 miles north of US 36 on US 81, then 0.4 mile southeast on M St. to 7th St., then 0.1 mile east (near the water tower, at the North Central Kansas Fairgrounds).
