I've truly been blessed in my 28 year career of announcing and broadcasting. God has given my opportunities to travel the country, experience some great events and venues and have the chance to interview a lot of great people.
There are a small few, though, that stick out as interviews that I am really proud of. This one is right at the top.
Thanks Midco Sports Network, Jay Elsen, Chad Hunt and Joey Beltrame, I had an opportunity to interview the great Doug Wolfgang for our tv show, Midco Motorsports.
I'd like to share it with you. It's something I'm very proud of. Thanks Doug for the time and for my STELLAR Midco guys for putting this together. I hope you enjoy it.

Rod, I don't take the time to log on here much and post anymore. It's usually not worth it cause you'll get slammed for having an opinion that differs from others. But you got me to log on tonight. I watched the original broadcast on TV Thursday and just finished watching the extended version. Doug was my hero growing up and im quite sure I have seen the vast majority of his interviews. Yours was phenomenal. You covered a wide variety of topics, but most importantly you asked the question and then let the man talk. Fantastic job, you have every reason to be proud Of the interview!

Great interview and I have a great respect for him. I also noticed the aero package on Robbys car, reminds me of Cheaters Day when they ran there.

Great interview.....I'm also Doug Wolfgang fan from way back. Doug will not only always give an honest answer to a question, but his answers and responses will always be consistant. He's never wishy-washy! As for the aero and front suspension inovations to the #429 sprinter, you can bet Doug gave that a lot of thought and will make that set up work. When everything as far as engine and other things are in place to keep costs in line, innovation becomes the thing to get the power hookrd up properly and make the car work. Doug still understands what it takes to make a sprint car handle.

Love the Man, Loved the Interview. Thank you.. Very well done. Still by far one of the best to ever strap in a Sprint Car.

Midco serves Forest Lake, Minnesota, we get our cable and internet through then and I have seen the Midco Motorsports show. Do you know day and time? Some weeks it's on Thursday at 7pm but not every week. They mix it up. The wife dominates the DVR so I have to watch it live.

Wow, I really enjoyed that interview! Thanks for posting it here. I really appreciate hearing Doug's perspective on all these subjects. What a great session.

Hi Stan. Good to hear from you. The show airs 10 times in 11 weeks. The first is at 7pm central time with repeats throughout the weekend. Each episode is also on YouTube.
Thanks for watching !!!!

Nice job Hot Rod, Doug is just like that all the time, he is rare in this day's sport heroes, he is 100% REAL. I sat next to him at a wedding reception about 15 years ago and he talked to me like we were old friends. He also gave away one of his Knoxville Nationals trophy to the Bride and Groom who were big-time Wolfie fans, never forget that night.....

Thank for sharing the interview. Doug was my hero when I was a child and I wish I would of kept my old racing shirts. Intersting insight to Badlands Speedway. Maybe this will change some people's perspective on Chuck Brenan.
Where can you run a sideboard like that on the hood?
