Peter Murphy is looking for sponsors to support the “2nd Annual Peter Murphy Classic” on July 25th. Held at Tulare’s Merle Stone Chevrolet Thunderbowl Raceway, Murphy has doubled the regular USAC West Coast Sprint Car purse to $3,000-to-win and $400-to-start the feature.
Fast time will pay $400 with $300 from Peter and $100 from the Woodland Auto Display.
In addition, there will special 4-lap “dash for cash” for the top-four qualifiers. The winner will earn $500, $400 for 2nd, $300 for 3rd, and $200 for 4th.

As a bonus slide up to Hanford this Friday. Promoter Vanderweerd's King of Kings series has been getting very good car counts. The Vanderweerd twins should be running. Richard is very hot now. Hope to see Andy Forsberg this weekend, when Andy smells money he usually shows up.
