So many options and probably all could win it on the right night! Should be an exciting year but you are missing one option that is seemingly more likely as Saturday approaches.... Rain. But thats a lot less fun!

It looks like its coming but looks to be light in that area hopefully and possibly not til later on if they move along and don't drag the show out they may get it in. Being the first race though alot of cars have to go through tech; they said they were opening the pits early for this reason.

That good! With the concrete infield they can take a little rain before and still get the show off. Hoping for it to be light like your talking or at least a window where they can run them quickly. I'll be there even if they have to run in the mud.

If we get the thunderstorms that are predicted for the afternoon, I look for mother nature to be the winner.  If somehow they stay in west of I-35 like they said a couple days ago, they stand a much better chance of getting it in.

Even with the forecast, my son and I plan on being there, but I'm sure we'll have a back-up plan in place in case it rains.

We've got essentially the same forecast 300 miles north here in Forest Lake.  Rain starting around 1pm and getting heavier around 7pm.  I don't look for them to get a race in down there this weekend.  They're forecast is actually a little worse than ours and ours is no gem.  wink
