Robert Sellers is black flagged!!!!!!! For the most piss poor officiating I have ever seen!!!!! I heard that Sellers even had video of the incident and watched him showing Donny the footage along with a hundred other people standing around after the show in Lawton. Seems that the call was made, I'm sure to Lanny, since his "can't race" grandson was the so called victim. Kyle Ezell was starting to spin out in turn 1 & 2 when Sellers got on the brakes to avoid a serious wreck and lightly tapped Ezell. Then 2 other cars got caught up in the spin, THAT WAS STARTED BY EZELL!!!!!!!!! Seems there was no change of the outcome of course but to throw the black to Sellers was WRONG. Even the fans could see that Sellers did no wrong. Come to think about it half the crowd left when Sellers left the track. Goes to show you that favoritism is alive and well at Lawton Speedway.

In the Mini Stock A Main one of the cars had a fire onboard coming down the front straight and came to a stop at the top of turn 1 where the fire continued and so did the racing for another 2 laps before they decided that maybe the safety crew should put out the fire. Here again it is the lack of safety at the Edwards run facilities.

No wonder the car count as well as the fan count is dwindling at the Lanny "show me the money" joints.

It all boils down to money, poor officiating, and of course FAVORITISM!!!!!!

SUCKS DON'T IT, to be the victim of Lanny's resent officiating, whether it be at Lawton, Dallas, or SFS. Mr. Edwards apparently needs a refresher course on the meaning of what each of the Flags represent. The following description seems to be the current understanding.

Here we go: Green, means Go, Yellow, means slow down / restart (if you are not on the favouritism list, No Yellow will appear), Red means Stop (if you roll more than 10'-7" after the Red Flag is displayed you may be disqualified, if your not on the favourites list). Black, means you are disqualified, since the Track Officials cannot keep up the current car count and need you to get off of the track so they AIN'T got so many Damn cars to keep up with.

I have a legitimate question. Whatever happened to the Blue Flag with the yellow stripe? I know what it means does anyone else know.

Ah, the blue w/yellow diagonal stripe. Haven't seen that one since Dr pepper was an intern. Of course that means "move or you slow piece of crap the leaders are coming" (unless you're on the favorites list).

Even the anouncer was clearly upset last night at the poor call from Donny Hinson. I think that they're trying to do something to slow down the fast cars. Next thing you know Sellers will have to race without a motor and Fred Flintstone the car around the track. That would be something if he won then. The slide jobs would be hard on the equipment though, lots of callused feet. LOL

That reminds me of last season, when Larry Fletcher got a two suspension for bumping Ezell. Btw Ezell is Lanny grandson.

And his MAMA runs the track. And calls Lanny when her boy is being picked on. Things will never change with that whole family. They all think there crap don't stink. Well let me tell you Lanny not only does smell its smells really really bad. Kinda like your officials!!! Can't see sh##, hear sh%%, or call sh@@. They make up some BS story to benifit those that pass money under the table or are related to you.

Come on people chime in!!!!! I see that nearly 200 views of the post in about 12 hours and only 4 people had anything to say on the subject. It's either crap or get off the pot!!!!

Last night was an exciting event. However, we all need to remember that Ezell didn't ask for the black flag to be thrown. Be mad at the officials..fine but getting on here and bashing some kid because the officials threw the flag is wrong. Sellars gets crap because he always wins and Ezell gets crap because he is Lanny's grandson. Lanny's grandson was also given a black flag this season because he came in under the green light. Remember? So why don't we all have a better attitude,enjoy the races, and stop talking crap about a guy you probably don't even know.

I commend those who are looking at the post and not responding. Even though we may not all agree with Lanny and the officials, it doesn't mean we have to get on here and talk about how sorry he and his family are. I still look forward to next weekends races.

No he probably didn't but someone in his family sittin in the second row did. Just like 2 weeks ago when it was decided to puff the top 5 in the sprints. The same person was on the phone callin Lanny cause there was no way Sellers could lap all but one car in the A Main unless he was cheatin. Well he passed the inspection none the less. And it was overheard last night that Donny is watchin Sellers to make sure he does bump, cheat or any other form of illegal racin. That came out of Donny's mouth. I think that's crap. How can one guy watch one single racer and be objective of the race if he is only watchin that one driver???? That sounds to me like there is some favoritism going on. Truth is Donny watched the video of the incident and said that he didn't see it from where he was. Well then maybe he needs to sit down in the stands a bit lower, cause half the crowd seen the truth and nothing but!!!!!!

I understand. I'm just simply saying let's not get on here and bash the racers and Lanny's family. Just because someone sitting in the second row wanted it, it didn't mean that Ezell did. We don't need to get on here and talk about how Ezell is a non racer and talk about his mama. If we want to get mad, we need to complain about the call. Think about it...there is no telling how many calls Lanny gets about complaints. At least he checked out the fuel and now they know there wasn't any cheating going on. I know I'm not going to let this one night ruin my love for racing.

I go off on this kinda stuff multiple times throughout the week. Anything I have to say I've said already. But yeah his shows suck. Lawton sucks. Devils Bowl sucks. and he is putting OKC on the same path he set for the other 2 long ago. there's not really a lot to say past that. No smoke without fire...................if all 3 tracks go down because of the crap he'll just live off the Chili Bowl money he gets every year. It's really pretty simple......if he actually cares about racing in this area he'll do what he has to make it better. I love going to dirt tracks.......and I want to like the guy and look forward to his racing programs. But guys are leaving them because bad calls do suck..........but add in being treated like crap and it makes a bad combination. Thats all the guy has to do........have a chat with all his drivers so everyone can be on the same page. Promoting a dirt track is a business.........and your clients (in this case drivers) have to like what you're sellin enough to come back. Bad calls and disrespect will eventually put you out of business. But because of the Chili Bowl he really is above the BS. and it sucks. he's not in a position where he has to do things right to keep his tracks going make money. He could do nothing and live off the New Years Money.

as far as what they said about Sellers.......maybe that could explain why that mini-stock sat there on fire for 2 laps. All the track officials were staring at the Sellers pit area with binoculars. lol. j/k.

First of all this thread was a bitch session about a bad call and nothing more so keep to the subject of the thread. Second; it was one of the "Lanny Clan" that made the call to Granddad. Third; justice will never be served on this subject since Lanny and the officials in his pocket will never change.

Wow! You must have a really miserable life!

You can do 1 of 2 things.

1. Do something about....keep your butt at home and don't go to the races.

2. Keep going to the races and continue to give Lanny your money (like you know you are going to) and stop your B@#$#$%#!

First of all I must thank racefanforlife for giving me the a reason to register after all these years of viewing. But finally Lannys own decendents are experiencing some of the same bull all the other drivers have had to endure because of decisions made or not made by the officiating crew.I fell no grief for kyle, I just wondered if anyone remembers last years winternationals when both Martin Edwards & and Kyle Ezell both drew pole positions for these events maybe you didn't think we noticed, but what I'm really doing is giving the other drivers the heads up for this years event.As far as Robert Sellars getting the black flag I believe the decision was the right call, dont get me wrong I think Robert is a damn good racer but on this given night and the amount of cars that were entered there was no need for this contact. Robert being a veteran racer will intemidate most younger racers by doing a chop job making them get of the gas.As   

Like I said on another topic, Lanny needs to, or actually should already know the Drivers and their Teams are the "product" he is selling. Without a "product" to sell there will be no more $35 pit passes sold, no more Grandstand ticket sales, and no more $7 Hot Dogs sold. You may have to go to the Wal-Mart and but a 24 count package of Hot Dogs with matching Buns and fixin's for your $7.

Someone replied if you go to Six Flags, or the Movie Theatre you can expect to pay ridiculous prices. My question is how many times a year do they attend these places. I bet not many. So to me that argument has no merit. If you attend a venue on a weekly basis the prices should be more affordable.

The Officiating should also be unbiased in order to have a fair playing feild.

I agree with the deaf,dumb and blind deal. I finished the feature race in what i thought was eighth place,but they put two car ahead of me who i know i laped at least once ahead of me in eight and ninth and gave me tenth. But we should all be use to that cause its happed alot this year to several different drivers.

I was going to go out there this past Saturday, but got stuck working....sounds like I didn't miss much.

SOLUTION-Everybody quickly go to the nearest wall that you can find!!! Scream, yell, cuss, whatever at this wall about the problems. What was the wall's response? That is the same answer you will get over and over again.

I need to start savin money because aside fromt he Sooner Region race @ Lawton.........I despise the thought of goin there again...........I was hopin Ada would run the OCRS champ sprints that weekend but looks like they are doin their modified deal there instead........

But Texas Motor Speedway's dirt track is having a hell of a ho down with stock cars and the Sprint Series of Texas 305 sprints will be runnin there too..........that would be a good show to catch. But I'm a little bit worried that with as many cars as they will (literally like 7 X Lawton's) have what time they will finish........it's a cool 3 hours from my parts to TMS. And I'm not really sure if I can talk the "Tuttle Tornado" Mr. Whitworth into makin that trip............I think he is still up-to-date on his pro cuts hair products. lol.
