Fairmont Raceway Part of Big August Weekend for NSL!

Windom, MN (February 26, 2015) – Fairmont Raceway in Fairmont, Minnesota has been added to the National Sprint League schedule for 2015. The event in Fairmont will be Friday, August 21. The banked ½-mile oval on the Martin County Fairgrounds west of Fairmont promises to be a good test for the best of the NSL!

NSL driver Brian Brown has a pair of wins the last three years at Fairmont. Lee Grosz took last year’s JSTS event in Fairmont.

The race at Fairmont will coincide with an event the following day, Saturday, August 22 at the Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa. The weekend follows the prestigious 55^th running of the Knoxville Nationals August 12-15.

On my last trip to Fairmont I watched my cousin's driver Jerry Lepinski win the Feature. Think I might be due for another trip down there. LOL

Fairmont is one fast joint.. Maybe someone can verify but don't 360's average around 110 mph lap times at Fairmont ? Thats going to be a great weekend of racing.

That car that Haircut is pictured with was formerly the Wagner #63 that was driven by Jerry Richert Sr. I believe that they cut down the banking at Fairmont but someone from that area might be able to answer that question. Think it's been a long time, the place used to have evil banking.

The track is wicked quick when heavy as we found out a couple years ago! I believe they said our 360 car broke into the 14's enroute to a heat win. I really wanna see the 410's attack that track knowing how fast it can be!!
