That is terrible news to read. Just terrible. If everyone thinks the pits are full of nothing but drivers, crew, and owners with zero sins, law violations, and habbits that someone of this talent would be without a ride the whole thing is a sham like the WWE. Hell I bet a surprising % of the private car owners have legal history. Talent is #1 item that should be the basis of a driver decision. Personality is #2. Put on a good show racing well/ clean and then be a decent person in the pits after races. Hell Sammy could not be nice on the track or the pits, so his talent carried him 200%. Forget TW in this thread, he is a Unicorn who could not compartmentalize.

always enjoyed watching TK but him losing the 83 deal was nobodys fault but his own. should send a message to the other drivers. I hope he can find a quality ride soon.

Yes, I am a car owner and have a legal history, 1 ticket for noisy muffler, 1 ticket for no muffler and dented a car in 60 years of driving.  Does that count?

Sounds like you should grab a couple million and put together your own team.  That way you can hire whoever driver you want (like TK) and base your hire on your own criteria. Otherwise who are we to tell a car owner what to base his or her driver hire on?

Sammy is a boner on and off the race track, but what sets him apart was he was not caught breaking the law, especially a person who is an entertainer that many look up to, especially kids!  (Not good PR)

Will I watch TK? Yup! Do I think he should be curcified because he screwed up? Nope! Is he a great driver? Yup! is he entitled to a ride in a race car or should he be given a car to drive because he is a great driver? HELL NO!

He is the only one in charge of his actions and he paid the conciquences!

So what exactly was TK's big screw up that cost him his ride?

What happened to the 59 All Star car last year?

I remember a post last fall about some in your face tee shirts... when you thumb your nose at the masses maybe you shouldn't expect the phone to ring... my guess is these folks who have made enough dinero to field a top notch race team did not get there by being a carefree rebel with an attitude... He had back problems down under.

This could be a reason.

Just reminding nothing more.

Just posted on Facebook about possible good news for this year. The 59 ride came down to money. TK isn't a guy with major sponsors behind him nor equipment in his garage. Holtgraver brought money and motors to the 59 ride and there it is. Also interesting is TK liked the Josh Ford Motorsports page at the same time he posted the possible good news thing. Rumors they want to build a wing car have been swirling all offseason.

The story was that Tim purchased some illegal drug when the Outlaws were in El Paso last spring and that he got caught. He got fired from the Roth car shortly thereafter. Actions have consequences.

Hope to see TK running the KWS series. That would suit me just fine for my own selfish reasons as I live in Cali. KWS is our 410 winged series.

We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

You think he purchased some illegal drugs??? It's legal in Cali... do the math dude. Who cares if the guy smokes some lettuce. He's one pasionate racer and a good dude. One of the best racers in Cali history... It's not like he pulled a Tyler Walker and went AWOL...

I guess if you smoke enough you can think El Paso is in Cali. Toak on dude!

TK made some bad choices, that cost him one of the best rides in the country. Hopefully the new ride will happen and he can continue to be one of the most exciting drivers to hit the track. He made a mistake, everybody makes them, even you TK haters.

Rumour was the purchase was a bit more than "moon lettuce", a bit more than for personal consumption, and he jeopardized the owner's investment by transporting his purchase in the owner's assets.

It might be a little more than just a rumor since they have purchased some wing parts from the team I work for.

WOW.   If that rumor is true, he would be very toxic to any owner.   There are a lot of things people will overlook, but  the chance you could lose your equipment or face jail time is not one of them.
