I thought all the keyboard jockeys always say things like " Kasey Kahne / Tony Stewart have all the finances to take care of it" or "With their names and caliber they'll get sponsors easily for their teams". This right here shows you all some truth about racing Sprint Cars as a business.

Well let's face it, talent and winning usually never has a hard time finding and/or keeping a sponsor. Just saying.....

not my point. I'm tired of hearing people think Kasey and Tony have cars out there because they have money. They're not just sending 6 cars out there dressed in plain white bodies with no corporate lettering because they like to, it has to be financially correct. Too many people think these dudes just deposit their personal checks into their race teams weekly, it's stupid

Meat bag is 100% correct. This all happened fast. Beerfreind it has nothing to do with performance regardless of what you think! Its strictly the Sure Point deal and the only other money coming in was Ollie's , Brad being there first it was agreed that they would move over to keep his team going with some other help going to Darrah until a sponsor is found.
Problem I see is Kasey uses a firm that is involved in his NASCAR funding and with times that are hard at work just trying to keep money coming in to fund that. And the time frame was so late it takes time for corporate sponsorship to come about. I know that KKR and Darrah's dad are working hard to make this work. What Kasey does has to be agreed by Hendrick also so all this takes time and many man hours. I believe that it will be worked out.

Ford 97 you cannot read and comprehend can you? This has nothing to do with performance it is strictly the deal with Sure Point selling and not sponsoring period! All this came about way to late and after plans were in place.

Brad was there first?
And if that were the reason, wouldn't Pittman be odd man out since he has only been there for two years?

This is not an either/ or situation, but rather is a both situation.
The first point is that both Tony and Kasey have a budget for thier race teams. They have sat down with thier business manager and come up with a budget. It may be as easy as the teams have to break even, or I will surport the race teams off of my personal service contracts, or I will only invest X dollars into the team. When the teams cross the line, decisions have to be made. Schedules have to be reduced, teams have to close. This is a valid point.
The second point is that racing is performance business. This point is also true. If Darrah had better results over the last couple of years over his teammates, it would have been his teammates that were having the schedule trimmed. As another point stated, if Pittman lost his sponsorship, would we really believe that he would lose his ride over Cody? Ever since the first multi team was created, owners have been switching sponsorship to the drivers with the best results. This is also a valid point.

I guess Kahne dosnt know talent when he see's it, he chose Darrah out of million other drivers to be on his team and has kept him on his team for several years even though, according you guys, he has no talent. Darrah has a ton of talent even if his results dont reflect it. Of course you all know better than Kasey Kahne. Id like to see how you guys would have handled being on a high profile team in your early 20's with everyone expecting great results. Pittman didnt do crap in his first go round with the WOO, it took a couple seasons in Pa and BOOM he's the outlaw champ. Im by no means a Darrah fan but give the kid a break, Ive seen him whoop the best in the biz when he was still a teenager. There is a reason Kasey still has him on the team and its nice to finally see proof that its not because his Dad is basically funding the team as has been said on this forum over and over. Darrah will be fine and I hope he makes you eat your words in the future.

I think also what hurts Cody is he is racing for Kasey and a lot of people expect that he has the same results as the other drivers have had. When your a teammate of drivers like Joey Saldana a couple years who wins on a regular basis, Brad Sweet who wins the Kings Royal and runs well each night and then Daryn Pittman who wins a championship people probably look at those results and say why isn't Cody having the same results. Fact is he is still learning and i think the press release said it best if they did not want Cody there then he would not be there. Sounds like KKR is getting frustrated with all of the critics also.
I recall Donny Schatz not winning outlaw races immediately when he got into a 410. I think KKR sees his talent and realizes that he may take some time to develop it and it seems that he has met the expectations for them to keep him on board. I'm glad to see a team stick with someone rather than release him immediately. I hope Cody makes everyone eat there words to in the future

I just don't understand the decision to choose Brad over Cody. Cody didn't have much worse of a season than Brad in 2014. Are Kahne and Sweet butt buddies or something?

Brad Sweet had I believe 5 wins in his first full year with the WOO, and Cody has how many? Look what Brad has accomplished in the last few years and then lets see how that compares to Cody. Nothing against Cody, but that was a stupid post.

There is no doubt Cody has some talent, but his last year of racing with KKR was no better than his first year. I for one feel that it is nobody's business but KK's with who he puts in the car, but I am not going to believe that there aren't better drivers out there that he could put in the car. There has to be some other reason besides talent that KKR continues to let him pilot the car.

There might be a real simple answer,,It's Kasey's team and he can do as he wishes and choose what drivers he wants. Now there's a thought.
