I just read that after the 2016 NASCAR season that SPRINT will be leaving them. That got me to wondering, how long is STP locked in with the World of Outlaws? Do the WoO guys have a contract with STP for the next so many years. I know the WoO had a couple years with no title sponsor. Just wondering?

Sprint has been actively looking for ways to cut cost. Rather unfortunate that sponsoring motorsports is one of these cuts. NASCAR's other two series are doing well with title sponsors so hopefully the Cup level can find a new title sponsor quickly. Even if you aren't a fan of NASCAR, when sponsors leave that series it's bad for all motorsports.

Keep in mind that Camping World and Xfinity are at the top of their respective industries, much unlike Sprint. They are a solid 3rd out of the top 4 providers. Hopefully closing one door with Sprint will reopen the doors with with AT&T and Verizon.

I'm not talking about title sponsorship. I just mean individual team sponsorship. If you recall, the 31 had AT&T and the 12 had verizon but were told that decals must be removed per Sprint's title sponsorship. Why drop millions on a car that you can't see your name on?

Ah I see what you were getting at. Yeah, with what it costs to sponsor a top tier team in NASCAR, AT&T or Verizon (although I doubt that they'd sponsor a team when they are the title sponsor of a "rival" motorsports series) would be a welcome addition.

We should be happy when a corporate sponsor gets involved with a racing team and has such a good experience that they decide to step up and sponsor the whole series. A half full glass is always much better than pissing and moaning about life not being fair.

PS, I"m not pointing any fingers but saying that from my own personal experience as advice to the masses. I got kind of bitter about things there for a while until I stopped and realized it wasn't doing me any good. Just passing that on because I'm lookin' out for ya' as a fellow racing fan. LOL

No bitterness here, hopefully Sprint stays involved in some aspect. However I'd gladly welcome other cellular carriers to return also.

Sponsors aren't easy to find anymore and they're even harder to keep.

Not saying you're wrong but do you have any proof or verification of that?

GT,
Considering who made this post, I would not question that it is true.

That's too bad, I'm sure Donny and Tony will land on their feet with sponsorship though, be interesting to see if the WRG can attract another to replace them though.

Bad Boy Buggies sponsored the World Finals. That's my prime suspect to take over the 15 car, and possibly the Title Sponsor spot.
