I understand that yes Willow Springs is having its weekend gathering. I have a friend that is going.

This weekend? I live like 20 minutes from there.  Always wanted to check this event out.

Have not beeen since Walt passed away but it's a great event. Lots of cool older gents with their race cars. The admission is still $10.00. One can watch all the other events as you can drive to the various tracks. Rich dudes racing Porsches, young studs racing bikes. Don't know if there is food available. Free camping if you want to stay overnight.

Went up to the Walt James show at Willow. Enjoyed seeing the old midgets and sprint cars. Even had a modified with wings. Go figure! Everyone ran some laps on the dirt. Drove around some, not too many other events going on,  but there are stands located at various places at each track that one can drive right up to. You get a wrist band for your $10, so you can come and go as you please.

I haven't been there since 2000, but always a fun event.
