The K.O.W. race at Stockton is Saturday, November 1st.  The Ovals are the week after.  He will be at both.

KOW Winged 410's, Civil War Winged 360's. Not clear which show for Bernal. Could run both as 360's sometimes run KOW. I suspect you won't see much of Bernal with USAC next year. One might guess Shane Golobic, long time pal, telling Ryan about multiple tracks and series to run with a wing on. My source, Bogan, believes that Bernal would like to have a racing career. According to Bob Clauson, Brian Clauson has a deal to run with the Outlaws next year. The career path to racing seems to be with winged sprint cars and/or midgets. Kyle Larson and Rico Abreu come to mind. Kyle's hit the jackpot and Rico is close to the glory hole. BTW Damien was seen multiple nights at 2larry wrenching for wing teams Hmmm, do you suppose?

Many Winged sprint car drivers have had a shot at the spot light.

Only a couple have managed to drive well enough to remain there.

Steve Kinser,Dave Blaney are a couple that come to mind that didn't fare well.(there's many more, these guy's won WOO championship's)

Kyle Larson's driving ability is what got him the seat in the 42,and the results have been great.

Kyle has won in all USAC division's multiple time's,as well as winged races.

He replaced a former indy 500 winner ,and has done a much better job driving in just his first season.

If you really look into the young gun's of higher caliber racing.

There's not much dirt racing of any kind in there past.(how many spintcar races has Ryan B. run?)

Rico does have a marketing advantage, but his driving ability is what's getting him the win's all over the country.

Ken Schrader is still one of my favorite's(most of his carreer was non-wing)

Tony Stewart was amazing in all 3 USAC division's,and that's how he got picked up.

Wing's aren't the answer. Win's are,and in everything, everywhere always helps show your talent.

"You don't hafta 'splain" Only pointing out that there are many more oppurtunities for a wing driver to run then N/W in Cal. There are also men like Brent Kaeding, Tommy Tartleton and Dennis Roth who are helpful to young guns. From Marysville to Chico to Santa Maria there are usually 2 or 3 wing shows on any weekend. Only semi-weekey show in SoCal is Naylor's joint. Most N/W fans don't show up for Jimmy's shows, whing about low car counts, and having to sit thru those boring under classes. Have been to many Ventura shows this year and enjoy all the classes and even with low car counts the sprint main always left the crowd on their feet.
