Southern Oklahoma Speedway’s Halloween Havoc; Modified Drivers Guide for Information!

 

FOR IMMEDAITE RELEASE – Geary, Oklahoma – October 26, 2014 – Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma is just days away from hosting the biggest three day racing event in the tracks history – the inaugural “Halloween Havoc” sanctioned by the United States Modified Touring Series, this coming Thursday through Saturday night, October 31-31, and November 1.

Below is information solely for modified drivers attending this huge event and you are asked to bring lots of candy to give out to the kids in costume on Friday night from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Motel: Guest Inn off of exit 32 (Veterans Blvd.) is giving a 10% discount to all drivers who mention they are competing in this event.

Pit passes: If bought on Thursday you can purchase a four day pass for only $120. If you purchase a three day pass on Wednesday it will be $100. Daily pit pass breakdown is $20 on Wednesday; $35 on Thursday and Friday night and $40 for Saturday night’s championship finale.

Format: Sanctioned by the USMTS, all series  rules apply Each night the top 12 in heat race passing points will be locked into the “A” main with the top eight redrawing for positions 1-8. An additional 12 drivers will advance from the “B” mains to the “A” main each night. This is a non point race and no provisional’s will be awarded and the “top dog” bonus will not be in effect.

Entry fee: Early entry fee deadline is on Monday, October 27. You can still pay an entrée fee at the gate and is as follows: Thursday night - $125; Friday night - $135; Saturday night - $150.

The payout for each night is as follows:

 

Thursday “A” Main: 1) $2000, 2) $1500, 3) $1000, 4) $800, 5) $700, 6) $600, 7) $500, 8) $450, 9) $400, 10) $350, 11) $325, 12) $300, 13) $275, 14) $250, 15) $240, 16) $230, 17) $220, 18) $210, 19-24) $200, Tow $75.

Friday “A” Main: 1) $3000, 2) $1700, 3) $1200, 4) $900, 5) $800, 6) $700, 7) $600, 8) $500, 9) $450, 10) $400, 11) $375, 12) $350, 13) $325, 14) $300, 15) $290, 16) $280, 17) $270, 18) $260, 19-24) $250, Tow $90.

 

Saturday “A” Main: 1) $4000, 2) $2500, 3) $1500, 4) $1000, 5) $900, 6) $800, 7) $700, 8) $600, 9) $500, 10) $450, 11) $425, 12) $400, 13) $390, 14) $380, 15) $370, 16) $360, 17) $350, 18) 340, 19) $330, 20) $320, 21) $315, 22) $310, 23) $305, 24) $300, Tow $100.

 

This three day event will be a complete show each night with three payouts. Drivers can race one, two or all three nights.

 

Gates will open at 4:00 PM on Thursday and Friday night with race action slated for a 7:00 PM start time both nights. Championship Saturday night will see gates open at 3:30 PM with races beginning at 6:30 PM.
