I'm glad the trucks are running at Eldora. It exposes NASCAR fans who don't even think about dirt tracks to our form of racing. If people see the Eldora race they might feel like checking out dirt tracks in their area or making a trip to Eldora where they can learn about the more traditional types of cars that race on dirt. No complaints from me. Sit down and watch the trucks awkwardly drive around Eldora. I find it entertaining.

So, by your reasoning, we shouldn't watch sprint cars because they are 200 mph slower than Top Fuel Dragsters?
Don't turn on your TV then. It happened to be the best race I watched on TV last year. Who gives a crap how many seconds slower? They are big, lunky, heavy trucks. Driving them around that joint cannot be easy and I find it entertaining. Sorry I'm not as down in the dumps as you are about some live racing being on a dirt track tonight. I'm kinda pumped about it actually.

Home of the sprint on the wall in front of the podium
anybody notice how this year eldora looks like the wall is taller then in years past and the banking looks less then ever before?
Been going to eldora for 35 years and to me the Banking is getting less and less. More and more winged drivers are on the wall their then ever before cause it's not as scary as it used to be IMO. As far as trucks go, I like watching anything at Eldora and it helps give the attention to Eldora which is deserving for such a historic place. Wish Earl would fix the track that Tony is ruining and leave Tony to upgrading anything and everything he wants but leave the track alone. Eldora has lost it's mystique with anybody and everybody riding the wall, used to be a select few run the wall and now girls run up on it

They mentioned on the broadcast that they took out 12" of dirt from the top and filled in the middle to make 1 constant degree of banking. I'm sure it's better in person but man these things are slower than dog shit.

.4 mile track...20 seconds a lap = almost street legal speeds!
what are they thinking?
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Trucks at Knoxville in '15?
|
Why? Nascar owns the track that is just 25 miles north of Knoxville. Can't see why they would take a race away from a track they own to sanction a race 25 miles away.

last year I remember thinking it was boring too. then the A main started.
this is good for dirt track racing. it gives exposure to something that people may not realize goes on not far from where they live. maybe some of them will check out their local dirt track, and all will be fonzie with the world, man.

There you have it...... Tony Stewart on TV moments ago just confirmed my belief and took banking out of the top of the track and admitted to being the dumbest hillbilly in the dirt track world and ruined Eldora to make better racing for bitches like him to feel better about racing at Eldora cause he has a fear of the way it used to be .... All balls out on the wall or you were done at eldora.
thanks Tony for making a warrior dirt track into a bitchfest
All for nascar cause it's where it's at you know nascar
glad to hear him confirm what I thought though ...... Eldora is for bitches now

I don't agree at all. what he said about trying to make more than one fast groove/lane made perfect sense.
perhaps Tony is a little bit more intelligent than you when it comes to stuff like this? how's your dirt racing resume?

Relax...they will redo the track after the race. I haven't been going their for no 35years but have been to every sprint car race since last years race and the banking is there. When I went in may it looked like the track had more banking than before. Its a dirt track, they can recut the track and reshape the track for various divisions of racing. The speeds are slow because the trucks are not designed to race on dirt but this is good for all of dirt track racing. Each race at eldora this year has had more fans than years past and Nascar at Eldora is one of those reasons.

Hey larryitis--I am enjoying the race. Pi$$ on everyone that's not!! Agree this is GREAT exposure for dirt racing. Need to get more of these.
Hope to see you again at the track in the future! If you go to K-ville, let me know.

If your a dirt track fan, how could you not have enjoyed that??? I mean, yes it's not sprint cars, but that was one hell of a show Larson was trying to put on, and yes I am a Larson fan, but any dirt track fan should have loved that show!!! And better yet, one of the Truck guys one, so it proves you don't have to have much of a dirt track background to win!

Are you headed to Knoxville next Dirtlover to show them how much banking a dirt track needs to have in order to put on any kind of a decent race.
We get it, you know everything and your the guy that always has to have the opposite opinion of everyone else because your so much smarter. The best part is I'm sure your resume wouldn't get you a job cleaning the toilets at Eldora for Tony. If I'm wrong post your resume of great things you've done to improve other famous tracks.
