Again today, remembering our friend Dick Stoneking, who lost his life at Knoxville Iowa 35 years ago on July 21st, 1979.
Dick, the son of veteran sprint car driver Duane "Stoney" Stoneking, from Oquawka, IL, was a 3 time track champion at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. Not only was Dick a great racer, but a friendly fun guy to all that knew him. It's hard to believe 35 years have past, but many in SE Iowa and Western Illinois will always remember Dick and the Stoneking Family # 20 RIP Dickie
