Wilmot raceway let me out by myself to hot lap the Grandstand Video 10v owned by my Nephew Matt Vandervere. I thought I did pretty good and had some speed. Then I saw the video footage...... I did have a blast and then went back to my video booth to do what I do best, film the guys that I have even more respect for. It was quite a rush even with me driving so damn slow....Thanks to Matt, Tim, and all those who took the time to get me out there. Thank you Steve Sinclair for letting me out by myself so I did not have to worry about getting run over or trashing some equipment. I put his together for laughs thanks to a good friend Mark Tiedke who filmed it for me. Here is the link.

That must have been a blast and I'll bet you felt like you were flying. You should have sped up the video and we'd have thought you were fast and smooth.

In Australia back in the 90's I got to participate in a Go-Kart racing school for part of a day. It was run by a former pro who had raced in Europe and Japan and all the equipment was top-notch. At the time going 60+ on a road course was about as exciting as anything I had ever done, I was up to speed but off the course as much as on it, oops. Going 130 on I-94 on the three lane portion just East of Chicago remains as the single most exciting thing I've ever done and it was for over 30 minutes, I swear I had goosebumps for a few days. These two things alone have given me so much more respect for racers, you truly have to be special to be good at that game.....
PS Nice job Gunner, you can tell your friends about it 'till the cows come home but they won't get it until they try it.....
