As I was saying before the feature, Dylan has struggled this year and then he goes and wins the race. Glad he did!! It would have been real interesting with another a couple of laps with Esh and Heimbach coming. Good night of racing at the Speed Palace including the late models.

35 late models......... As many have said, it doesn't matter the car counts, it's about the racing. People rave about Selinsgroves racing but they've only been getting 15 or so cars. Why should Port be any different on an off night with a low 410 count.

It begs the question, what did Port do to piss off the 410 teams...? :/
Opinions may vary...

I'm not a Lincoln guy nor do I have any bias of the port, it's probably my favorite track in Pa, but at some point it is about the car count. 18 cars is too small a field. Hopefully just a one week thing after running 2 features the week before.

Two races in three days coming up. Speed Week. Two features last week. Let's not get carried away...yet.

Selinsgrove has averaged 25 cars a week, three shows had less than 20 cars at 18,13, and last night 16. People rave about Selinsgrove because the racing has been pretty darn good all year and last nights feature was great , not sure 8 more cars would have made it that much better.

I think thats why Lincoln has been getting the bigger car count. Guys want to race instead of just riding around pretending to race.

Everyone knows that Gators is Port biased...Look no further than this article which gives more print to the Port late models than anything with a wing anywhere else...

Kinda like Robbie K rode around from the pole at stinky Lincy, lol. Stan Dinnit, you try so hard to make Lincoln out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread but folks know that the racing is pretty much the same everywhere. Cars will start on the pole and win but there will be alot of pack racing. Pretty much happens at each track but people still whine. And besides, some guys went to Lincy because of the added purse and the fact that Port was showcasing the awesome Super Late Models in a $3000 to win ass kicking race. Like Dan Stone said in his twitter today, Port is the best track in the mid atlantic. Oh yeah, thanks Dan, but we already knew that.
In case ya missed it....

You should know better than to say that. I have been at Lincoln and Port Royal equal times this year...pretty close depending on the show. Also, the late models got no more than the 358 Sprint division at Williams Grove Friday night when they had a real good race.
Also, the late models was a special deal and ran first. Plus, I wrote more on them during the race for deadline purposes at the newspaper. Deleted most of it when I knew for sure the sprints were going to finish on time.
The reason Lincoln 358s don't get a lot is because I'm usually writing the main story while that feature is going on. Deadline, remember. They like to run big wheel races at 10:17 at night and add a cone on the frontstretch to bunch them up to make it go longer.
I choose shows based on specials, purses and if I have been at one a few weeks in a row, I go to the other to even it out as much as possible. No bias in any story I have written and keep my personal views out of publications.

You give the 358 sprints 0 respect in EVERY ARTICLE!!! Somehow you manage a 1 line blurb at the end of the articles stating so & so won. It's a definate pattern. Hell, don't patronize the division, give that last line to the same 4 drivers you like to interview over and over. If you saw the 358 race at Lincoln last night you just saw possibly the best "sprint car" race out of all the divisions so far this season. The 16 car and 29 car swapped the lead every lap for almost half the race, side by side down each straight away. Do us a favor and don't even mention it. No sense breaking the bias now. Jmo...

It's not a bias. They are the second division on the card. So if, say, the Legends race was really, really good, I should devote half the story to them? Ah, no. If the 358s or 360s were the headline division, they would get the bulk of the story. But, they aren't, and therefor, that goes to the 410s.
Normally, I'm writing while the 358s are going on. I don't write for a weekly or monthly. I have to hit deadlines for the print edition.
I gave the 358s a little more on Friday from Williams Grove. Why, it was a good race, I was there, and I actually saw it while I was scribing away. I wasn't at Lincoln Saturday night and the race was completed after my, wait for it, DEADLINE.
I would also like to know what four drivers I, only, talk to. Curious?

"Wait for it, DEADLINE" ...... REALLY????
so your telling me that you couldn't give the division a 2 or 3 paragraph write up on the following article about some poor 410 driver struggling thru the season with only 4 motors and 3 cars to somehow make it thru the year in their $150,000 toter/trailer, custom built pit carts, custom suits, helmets with $1500.00 paint job ect.
So if your articles are say 10 paragraphs long, you feel the 410s need 9 1/2 to do the story justice??? Just can't make it work in 7? Then give the " red headed step child class" 3 ??? ?... if that's what your saying then maybe you should seek advice from the "top tier writers for advice"....
You made your point....2nd class citizens... kudos to you my friend
Take some lessons from Jason Bristol.....
