it has been tried before...

In Central PA, "limited sprint cars" have evolved to unlimited spending and many teams are only running 1 night per week.

last year was the time to adopt the donny schatz engine for the "limited" class...instead we are witnessing the "end of the end"...rather than the" beginning of the end"

Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

The URC cars are on American Racers, the Selinsgrove cars are on Hoosiers. It cost too much money to switch back and forth.

The American Racer tires are a little cheaper, but the rest of PA is on Hoosiers. The promoters and sanctioning bodies all whine about car counts but have done nothing to address the tire rule. The promoters and sanctioning bodies own this issue.

There are some other annoying differences. For example, Selinsgrove allows the ASCS wing, URC does not. Another stupid discrepancy!

Instead of finding a way to work together, the promoters and santioning bodies threaten to cut the purse. Another brilliant maneuver!

Agreed, it's crazy to spend 35G on a good 360/358 motor when the Schatz/Shaver motor is higher HP, more durable and costs around 20. I don't understand why the tracks don't give it a chance. More cubes and stock parts is a better alternative than winding out an under-displaced motor on a 1/2 mile track. 360's and 358's are no longer a budget class unless you run on a bullring where motor isn't as important. You can get a decent used 410 for less money and race for a lot better purses. That's what many teams are doing.

Trailways had 9 358's. Being a small bullring, I don't understand that. Must be other issues with that track.
