I do wish Port would get a few more good cars and drivers, there were only eighteen feature winners and couple of more who will be in the starting lineup last night. Dale was hooked up and hauling a$$ last night, I was watching Hodnette for most of the race because he was the show and maybe even faster on the open track. There are enough good cars there this year that you might dominate one week and hardly make the top ten the next.

Its   all  individual preference  , but it has been proven over the years by drivers  that  Port  Royal is  a better place   to learn the art of driving  . Lincoln  is close racing  because  its tight , not wide  enough , but  then these cars are better on smaller tracks  to keep there speed under control . Years ago racing was even better at Lincoln , there  were more lanes to pass on and not  the  inside guard   rail . But know matter  where  these  410's   race  its  usually  won out of  first three rows  not like   non-wing .

Just   imagine if these   tracks  could rotate  weeks or   work out some deals  ?  but its all  about money  , so it won't  happen , the car   counts  would be great, but again tracks don't think of fans only the money . Probably   would be  around 59  cars  at one track , WOW !!!!!   But  then  alot of teams   don't  want to drive  or the expense   to race far  away from home . Oh ,  how times have changed  .

There  is not  one  group of  drivers better then others , but   Port   Royal  cares  more about you the fan , just  look at what they've   done there , and when they   complete  the  new restrooms , the  Port   will  be  the NUMBER  1  TRACK  IN  CENTRAL PA , the  other  tracks  should be  embarassed.

No there would not be 59 cars at either track if only one ran. These things cost too much to run to a track for tow money . Only 24 would be paid then instead of the 48 that get paid now.  Things are just fine the way it is. P.S. They said a prayer before the races last night the same as they have every night for years. That alone makes it the better track. right?

Prayer for prayer, SSP is still a better track than Port...

Port and Lincoln are pretty equal in my eyes...If you take the quality of racing out of the equasion... Smile

HMMM, I've heard drivers say they learned more in one night on a bullring than they did in a couple years on a half-mile. I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion when Lincoln's produced way more of the areas top drivers in recent years. Port is OK. The new management has done a nice job with the facility and track surface. The speeds are always exciting but even after widening the turns, most sprint features are strung out single file affairs.

Port regular for what 2 years because of the rides he's been in? The Hammer raced Lincoln for over a decade with 30-some wins I do believe. Montieth had him before his engine went bad.

More than two years ! He originally became a regular at Port in the 30 car that he ran at Lincoln those years you are talking about. Why? Because it has become the better track for the teams to race at. FACT.

OK it must be FACT since you said so in capital letters. LOL Apparently the 29 410's that Lincoln averages weekly must think differently. Esh started running there when they ditched handicapping for the draw format. Looks like running the big motor track and putting the car on it's head so many times has put two owners OOC. The Hammer is always exciting to watch though, wreckers or checkers kinda guy if there ever was one.

Oh, I coulda swore I saw 9 out of the top 10 were taken out in crashes at one point...I've been know to be wrong though.

Time trials next week, the best format hands down, if it wasn't Knoxville wouldn't do it.
