Be careful.  That is the way it started here.  305's were joined by the 325's, then another different headed 305's and now they are working on another 305 crate deal.  For this season you say?  That sounds familiar.  If it goes beyond this season, just throw in the towel.

That sounds a little desparate. If you are going to run a set of rules you need to start with those rules. Anything else is going to be a joke. If you are going to run that set of rules then put your foot down and enforce them, otherwise you might as well just open the thing up and let everyone run whatever.

the valvespring rule is on hold ..to try getting these two racetracks started with the 305 division..and i hope it works..for the people who are against it ..i say look around and see how good it will be to race in a state with ..5 or 6 weekly tracks.

I do not under stand how to install a washer.  I know about the insert type restrictors that are about 4 inches long, but how do you hold a washer to the stacks?

The valve spring is and important part of the rules to limit the RPM of these motors without mandating the valve spring it seems pointless.

Don't do it. Open 305 will ruin what a racesaver series is trying to accomplish. Run the racesaver rules and they will come. Look at the car count for the Eagle  race this weekend.

I wish you luck with this but I've seen that rule bending thing done before to get more cars to come and eventualy switch over to be totally legal and can't remember ever seeing it work out that way. But I really do hope it works for you and at some point you say " totally race saver legal or you don't race here".

From what I know it didn't sound like it worked out too good for opening night. Like someone else said, letting other type 305's run never seems to work out in the end. If it is racesaver deal then that is what it should be period. My two cents worth on the subject.

I cant find a write up on the race anywhere? How many cars, who won? was it a racesaver motor? Any info would be appreciated.

They had a problem with the track lights and had to call it for the night is what I was told as they couldn't fix them. Six or seven cars there as far as I know. Not sure how many racesavers etc. I guess we will have to wait until next week to see how it pans out. I hope they get it going as planned.  I think it will be a good series for the 305 guys and give them some choices to race else where when they want to, like Dennison and Eagle to name a couple. Maybe Knoxville will follow with these rules in time. Would be great if they are all on the same program as far as motors are concerned and make it easy to check engines to make sure they are legal.

We had 11 sprints for the opening night.  They were all Racesavers.  On our off night,  saw where at least one of our Racesavers ran with the Racesaver group in a neighboring state.  Kind of a " northern swing".

34 IMCA Racesaver 305's at Eagle Raceway for the annual Icebreaker Challenge (31 locals w/ 3 travelers)......The track was fast with female racer Shayle Bade turning a quick heat race lap just .09 off the Racesaver track record. .Jason Martin (who was only .15 off the record)  took the win over impressive sprint rookie Joey Danley, veterans Doug Lovegrove and Adam Gullion. (Gullion actually finished second, but was penalized 2 spots for rough driving) Second year sprint racer Terry Richards rounded out the top five.  I'm sure you'll see some of our guys venturing out to ISF and Denison looking for National points as the year progresses, and hope some of the Iowa guys will come run at "America's Home Track" on Saturday nights.....In our second year with the Rcesaver option with $700 to win/$250 to start the A main weekly and $100 to start the B...........looking forward to a great season with the 3 day  IMCA Racesaver Sprint Supernationals on tap for Labor Day weekend. last year's event drew over 50 cars both days from eight states..................SC
