Moving to a new house in a couple weeks and decided to go Dish or Direct so I can get MavTV.  Is one any better than the other?  Thanks

Dish has MavTV in their Top 250 and Sport packages.  I talked to them about putting it into  the Top 200 package, that I have, but got no encouragement.

If you are a NFL fan, Direct TV has NFL Sunday Ticket.   If you have a favorite team that is outside of your region, it is a great way to watch all of their games.

I love my DISH and their DVR is far superior to DIRECTtv,  but the most basic package does not include NBC Sports or MAVtv.

Dish is my choice. My sister and my nephew both have Direct and I stay there a lot they both have more trouble than I do with Dish.

When I ordered Mav TV i had to get a HD reciever cause it was HD.

I like the way Dish remote works better than Direct!

I've had Direct for over 10 years without a problem and my remote just's fine. Hi Bob, when you coming this way again?

I got the DTV Genie system last Feb. Got a 4 TV system. The remotes are SLOW to respond. I ahve called support and been told this is normal.  I was at a tailgete party this fall and saw a uy parked a few places down with a DTV door magnet. I went and asked him and he said yea the first gen. Genie had slow remotes. Sounds like it is better now tho. When my 2 year contract is up I am going back to DISH. We dont surf cause it is so slow. Just watch DVR. Also, DISH has a commercial skip function, DTV you just have to FF 4x.

I have had both.  Got rid of Dish and have Directv for 13 years.  No complaints.  There are bugs with every operating system

I've have DirecTV for 4 years and never had an issue. If interested in DirecTV I can give you a number for $10 a month off on your first 10 months.

I've been meaning to call Bob and hell yes you can stay at my Cabin.... I'm at 6,000 feet and only about 20 miles from the track up here in the Ponderosa pines and with the 2 day show being in August; well it's a lot cooler up here than down in Phoenix.

DirecTV is WAYYYYY better than DISH IMO.

I know tons of people that did the "switch" to DISH to get it for $20 for 2 years and most bought their way out of the contracts so they could go back to DirecTV (the overall programming and customer service is that much better).

Direct TV here for 14 years now and still a fan.  The issues we have had have been very few and far between.  We just upgraded the to the Genie and very happy with that too.
