Hi everyone. It's been some time since I last posted here. I hope everyone else in sprint car land is doing well.
I am running/trotting/walking/crawling 26.2 miles in the Seattle Marathon on Sunday, December 1st. I do not know yet if I will survive the 26.2-mile course that has a bunch of hills it looks like. I am, however, participating in the event on behalf of Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation, which provides racing trips and opportunities for young race fans facing serious illness. One fan was sent to the Knoxville Nationals in 2012 and another was sent to Las Vegas in March for the World of Outlaws and NASCAR races. Another kid was brought out to the Pacific Northwest to spend a week in Oregon, taking in the ASCS races at Cottage Grove while he was there. I am not looking to raise a specific amount but am hoping to raise a nice chunk of change for the Foundation. I will also be wearing a special shirt for the event.
If you'd like to donate to Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation, please donate directly to them. Website (with mailing address if you prefer) is www.bigalkidsandmotorsportsfoundation.org. Any donations will be greatly appreciated!
