Announcing “Kickin-It 2!” Kickin It Western Style is back, bringing Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Foundation, Kick-it to Cure Pediatric Cancer, to the Western World Championships at Canyon Speedway Park, on November 16th in Peoria, AZ. Just like the Knoxville Nationals and Gold cup we will be pitting some of the nations best sprint car and midget drivers against each other on the kickball field. Last year we raised $7,300.00 for pediatric cancer research and this year we hope to double that with half of all the proceeds staying here in the Valley going to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Some of the racers that participated last year include; Bryan Clauson, Johnny Herrera, Shane Cottle, Jerry Coons Jr., Brady Bacon and a whole lot more! While we are still working on the teams for this year’s game, we can ensure that many of your favorite local and national drivers will be participating! And, due to the overwhelming response by people wanting to participate, we will be auctioning off one player spot on each team the morning of the game. Additionally, all children that wish to play will be able to participate.

In addition, in between innings we will be holding auctions to raise additional money for this great cause. We are also working on several large raffle prizes, just for attending the game! There will be food and drink available for purchase at the venue, with some special homemade bake sale items included!  There will be a car show, showcasing some of the areas best cars, race cars, karts and a few surprises! There will even be an exhibition kart race with some of the best child and adult kart racers.

The events will begin at 9am with driver introductions, autograph session and auction preview, with the game to follow at 10am. This year it will be held Saturday, November 16th at the Arizona Karting Association facility. There will be an entrance fee to enjoy the games of $3.00 per person or donation; all gate proceeds will be matched by Jeff Gordon. Please come and help us raise funds and awareness for this great cause! If you can’t join us, feel free to donate on the website, http://www.kick-it.org/events/kickin-it-western--style-2

We are currently accepting donations for auction items, and are in need of game sponsors. If you would like to help, please contact Cera Murphy at [email protected] or 602-571-7251

Thank you!

 How to get there..

The track is located in the Northwest Valley (Phoenix Metropolitan Area) on 43rd Ave South of Pinnacle Peak Rd. Take I-17 to the Pinnacle Peak Road Exit. Go West on Pinnacle Peak Road to 43rd Avenue. Wet-n-Wild is on the South East corner, turn south on 43rd Avenue. After you pass the entrance to Victory Lane Ballpark on the left and the miniature railroad park on the right, you will come to a road on the right. Turn right and AKA Speedway is the 2nd Go-Kart track on the right. Follow the signs and balloons from Pinnacle Peak Road Back to the AKA Facility.
