The UMSS Arrive & Drive event will take place at St Croix Valley Raceway on October 5th.  This is your chance to take some laps on the quarter mile bullring in either a traditional sprint car or micro sprint.  Anyone considering jumping into this class or just to see what driving a sprint car is like is invited to show up and try it out.  Once again this year the cost will be 5.00/lap run and a 100.00 cash deposit is required for any damage occurred to the cars.  Participants will also have to agree to pay for damages to any car they drive caused by that driver.  Participants will be required to bring all their own racing gear: full driving suit, helmet, gloves, shoes and any other safety equipment they deem necessary for their own safety.  Every participant will also be required to bring a set of earbuds (any kind will work) so they can plug into a raceceiver (provided) or bring your own to get instructions while on the track.  The plan is to have at least 3 and hopefully 4 cars in each class available. We will be running from 11am-4pm or whenever we get done.

I will make another post with a copy of the rules and liability releases.

Questions can be directed to me at  [email protected]

Also this day is an open practice/test day for any cars that want some track time. Cost for that is 30.00/car

There is also a swap meet that will be going on that will be outside the gates and that is free to all participants.

Participants wanting to do the arrive and drive or spectators to the fun - there will be a 10.00 charge from the track to get in the gates to cover liability insurance.

I have confirmed that one of the cars available for the arrive and drive testing will be for sale as a roller and I believe there will be at least one other roller on hand that will be for sale.

Need to clarify that the 10.00 charge is just to get in the pit gate, not the front gate. Front gate is free.

Just a reminder that this event is this coming saturday at St Croix Valley Raceway from 11am to 4pm.  Right now there is rain in the forecast for friday night.  If we can't get this event in saturday the rain date for the event will be the following saturday Oct 12 from 11-4.  Remember to bring a set of earbuds to use for the raceceiver and all your safety equipment.

Looks like a rain out for this weekend.  I was looking forward to get out of the house since my surgery.

You don't relize how much comfort you get out of a night at the races when it has been a big part of

your life for so long. Let us t is going know what is going on here, please.

Ron will be making the call by friday morning.  If the rain stops earlier than they are predicting and If he thinks he can get the track in shape in time it will be a go otherwise it will be the following saturday from 11-4.  We will get you out of the house one way or the other Smile
