The guy is just dominant. He is racing against more competition in today's sprint car world than ever before and he just wins. The greatest run that the Historic Knoxille Raceway has ever seen just happened and now everyone can say that they saw magic happen. Hats off to the best in the world today!! As long as he doesn't have any bad wrecks that cut his career short, he will crush Kinser's record of Nationals titles. Just think about that for a second and let it sink in.

I've never liked Donny Schatz and never will, but can he wheel a race car..If he stays healthy and doesn't get hurt he will surpass Kinser and be a legend like some of the others like Wolfgang,Kinser Swindell and Operman..The kid is phenominal...Well Done Donny Schatz...

Extremely dominant tonight supa. Enjoy the W it was well deserved as for your brothers place in history? He still falls in behind Kinser and Swindell.

Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

With the parity of the equipment these days, it makes it even more impressive.

That is starting twenty - first (just in case the number 21st doesn't spell it out well enough) people after transfering from the B-Main. It simply does not get any more BAD ASS than that. When Kinser did it in '95 from wherever he did it from back then it was BAD ASS. But this? This is just as BAD ASS as it gets. Schatz can already use #stillwinning or just as well #baddass because either one applies. Sammy on the other hand is, still, #stillnotwinning. How many Knoxville Nationals Championships does Sammy have? Yeah - thought so. Congratulations Donny and crew.

So at what point do we have to admit he has passed Swindell as #2? Has more rings and more knoxville nationals titles... And I would imagine that his win total is comparable at this point in his career as Sammy's (woo).

donny has sure made his place in sprint car history, but there is more than just on track performance to consider.  sammy was and still is an innovator in the sport. sammy still does more than drive a car that someone hands him. and has been doing it twice as long. donny has a great woo record, sammy has a great RACING record. i am not a big sammy fan, but i give him his due.

to indy and beyond!!

290+ for sammy 144+ for Schatz. He's actually still behind Mark Kinser

At some point, they will reduce the A Main from 50 laps.  40 or less last night and Brown wins.  Schatz needed all 50 to pull this one off.  The haters thought they had Schatz yesterday with the 21st start, but shortening the race may be the only way he loses.  He isn't the best ever yet, but he sure has the answer on the big tracks.

He needed all 50? 7th by lap 10, 5th at lap 24 and then 2nd by lap 32 (I think it was)? He had the lead and was checked out by lap 40...yup he needed every single lap of the feature to squeak this one out

Impressive win for Donny but he wasn't going to win with the car he had Friday and he didn't.

They parked it and pulled out a whole new bullet for Saturday and it was fast.
