Can't help but wonder about 2014 and oskaloosa. Been reading the boards about McCarl potentially being out next year as promoter and couldn't help but notice nothing mentioned in the program about next years dates.

I hope they continue to race. We come out on Sunday and would hate to not see any racing for two nights. It would certainly change my travel plans. I agree that there needs to be something done to increase the car counts for the wingless guys. They could also get rid of an hour of down time in my opinion too.

Me too. You would think that if Oskaloosa can fill the place both nights, the shows would continue to be held. Maybe with someone else promoting the 2 nights.

FYI if TMc doesn't promote it the show goes away... Osky has nothing in the deal other then leasing the track.. They don't want to promote anything including their weekly shows...

Cappy classic is an abnormal night in regards to car count vs ticket prices.  Apples and oranges, but I understand where your coming from. With that said, I, not staying home on that night unless they're not racing

Not attempting to tell anyone what they should think about this event. But, I will try and defend the car count. Most of the usac teams are based in the indy area. And from what i can tell the purse is the same except for the winner. So a combination of one stand alone event, in the middle of the week, and paying $500 to start isn't that attractive. Looks like locals don't help the car count too well either.

Alot of times the same thing happens when wings race in Indiana.

Anyways hope this event continues.

Id watch 22 non-wing sprinters with the quality of the names USAC brings slide those cars through the corners anytime over a so-so field of wing cars running straight as an arrow and limited excitiment in thier races.
