Just a few words on stockton last night.First, nice grandstands big with lots of room. The box seats are a nice touch.Track is good but need to get some people in there that know how to set up a track.A single lane frieght train race is no fun to watch. The food stands are a joke.(the people who work them) My son was the second one in line after a break and ordered a hot dog.He payed and was told to move to the left and wait for his hot dog.Two more people ordered dogs and where told the same thing.I looked in the back to see what was taking so long. The dogs where made but the girl some how couldnt get the dogs in the bun.(I think she was drunk or high).Last the show took to long to run.I know we waited for sun.and somebody got hurt on the track, but there was way to much down time before all this.when you have kids finnishing at 11:30 is ruff.If this keeps up they are going to lose there familys witch means less $$$.Please keep the show moving.

Certainly Stockton has work to do on their program but I've already seen improvements since the last race I attended there. Add a scoreboard and a real flag stand and this race facility will rock. The place wasn't full but that was a big NorCal sprint car crowd with lots of faces I didn't recognize in the stands.
As far as the race surface goes, that was race #3 on a brand new race track. It was fast, leaders catching lapped traffic in the heats, in the main Allard, Scelzi and Suggs caught lapped traffic in 4 laps and made tons of nice moves moving through the traffic. This place has so much potential. Lets hope they can fulfill it!

Last night was all about taking notes and learning, so any input is certainly appreciated. Tony Noceti is really doing a great job and he listens to what people say. We have a lot of notes on what can be improved upon so we will be working on that prior to November 2. Thank you to everyone that came out last night. This place no doubt has a ton of potential like Ricci said.

Didn't take a chance on the concessions....the kids passed out around 10:00pm....racing was ok....and with the quality of the program it should have ended by 10:00pm....if I knew it was all about taking notes and learning....I would of stayed home....good luck....nice effort

Notilt- We had to take time for the sun and then we had a really bad deal in turn three with one of our photographers, Trust me we have worked really hard. And our goal is to get done by 10.

What the hell do you mean take notes and learn? They're the same damn complaints that every other track has EVER had. Run the show in a timley manner, have decent food with good service, Give people VALUE for their money. It doesn't matter if it's asphalt or dirt, small track or big, too much down time, bad food, service or facilities will kill a show everytime.
Glad I didn't go this time, last time was bad enough. I'll wait until your done taking notes!

I don't want to run the place...but I was really suprised he wrote that it was a time for taking notes and learning...we thought the facility has alot to offer if they get it together...made us think of San Jose...if your taking notes and learning please put a sign on the ticket window so no one feels disappointed...there is alot that can be improved... but if you get out by 10:00pm...you have less time to wish things were different...the sun and medical problem was an excuse...track coming in was late... so they started late out of the gate...looked like there was only 6-8 push trucks...I thought you pack with the push trucks first...then the cars...and you give them 1 set of hot laps not 2 because the track is greasy...

I won't speak for Mr. Thomas but there seems to be a changing of the guard at KWS. Out w/ the old and in w/ the better. The proposed new leadership will need a race or two to bring the track and the series up to the standards we all expect. As soon as the Fernley travesty grinds to its pitiful end and KWS changes to local leadership all will be good.

This is me second time to the track. Agreed the track prep wasn't good for racin but that has to be some sort of learning experience to see how the dirt takes water . That said even seasond tracks get like that sometimes .Just the nature of dirt.Considering there was no real support class I thought it was movin along ok (not perfect) untill the hard top incident. I just figured we took some down time for the helmet pass which wouldn't be a normal thing. The one thing that really concerns me and concerned me the first time is the flag stand. Those 2 up there are sittin ducks If a car has an incident like the hard top. it could drive right into it and the flaggers have no way out. Sharing the horse track has got to be a huge obstacle. Without a fence and permanant flag stand that is just a bad thing. I also think The crash after the finish is a product of the inside flag stand and not being able to see it and just not used to looking that direction. (maybe a yellow needs to come out right after the last car goes by on checker) Also having to have 2 sets of eyes to watch the whole thing is not optimal dont think. I think the flaf man should have the race track in front of him at all times. These are just my thoughts. yes the food sucks LOL. Beer service was good both times though. All I can see is room for great improvments and am hopeful they can/will be made.
Finally livin the dirt dream.

Hopefully Stockton can become the NEW HOME for the KWS, it would make a huge impact on the series and would be a welcome, shot in the arm, for 410 racing in California, imo.
