I really enjoyed the Davy Moore bio. I learned a lot about him that I didn't know. There are a few mistakes in it. The photo of Norman's 3 drivers, Mike Peters, David Moore and Gene See. That photo was taken in April 1975 at Tulsa . The car behind them is the 59 of Alvin Bennett not Duan Cain. Warren thought it also was Duan when I posted that photo on this site. The week that Davy put the 240 Ford in his car,they raced Friday night at Dewey not Caney. The next night at Tulsa Davy won his heat and the trophy dash but something broke and he did not finish the feature. I have the program from that night in my garage and will see what it says. The 117 was Norman's favorite,we talked about that several times before he passed. It cost him $4,700 with out the engine when he bought it new in 1974. I don't mean to run the bio down but wanted to set some things right. Norman moved to Tulsa and we talked a whole lot about all this. When he passed his widow ,Irene, was very impressed with Davy and their talk that they had just before Norman passed. Norman liked hearing about his drivers and how they were doing. I miss him a lot

Whenever I create a web page, I try to include some things that I don't think anyone else knows about the subject and the reader probably won't know either until they read it. Such is the case with the web page about Davy Moore. I pity those who only look at the pictures.
One of the nice things about a web site verses a book is that corrections can still be made and, in this case, they have been.
When I interviewed Davy for the web page, I asked him how he spelled the nickname. He said he really didn't know. I said, "It is your name, how do you want it spelled on the web page?" He checked to see how some relatives had spelled on the backs of some pictures they had taken of him and he is the one that picked the spelling "Davy".
Davy has told me that he really likes the way the web page turned out as he has been hearing lots of good comments about it from all over the nation. He thinks he will be getting a few more photos that were taken in Tulsa when he was running the 6-cylinder and, if he does, I'll add those to the web page too.
