My name is Lloyd Tremayne, can anyone tell me how to contact dirtvision? I would like to cancel my account with them, you can not even watch the video, it is just a waste of $69.99, I have tried to e-mail them at dirtvision@ dirtcar.com, 3 times and no reply, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Lloyd

Every Sunday morning I read dozens of posts that convince me to not purchase this broadcast. By way of contrast I streamed two Netflix movies through my Blue Ray player last night without any problem so I know that digital content can successfully reach my home.

When I stop seeing these kinds of posts on Sunday morning and am confident that the Sprint Cars can provide the same trouble free experience I might consider purchasing streaming races.

Only took one time not receiving what I paid for to figure out they'd never see any of my money ever again. Maybe they need to get off their corporate horse and see how sites like Dirt on Dirt and various other sites, series, and tracks can successfully stream live video and give the fans what they paid for....

Try Knoxville, Stan. Three years, I've never been dissatisfied.

I can't wait to see Antioch and Calistoga next week, because I can't be there either, but then agin I have a pass and will hopfully see races 7&8 on it making the total up to $320 and counting. thanks for trying Dirtvision, and hope thing's are a little better for you next week.

Dirtvision posted messages on both the WoO Live Notes and on the Chatzy board apologizing for the video quality and stated that they would be contacting all of the subscribers regarding a refund or whatever. Here is their message(s):

dirtvision We apologize for tonight's streaming issues on site in Chico. We will make it right with every paying customer.

The audio version worked all night while the video was pathetic. I had to research the DNS for Dirtvision before I could even log in since my browser(s) kept saying it couldn't find the URL!

Dirtvision stinks paid for it last year and never agian , This year i'm going with jackslash . the races are not live on jackslash but the shows and highlights are great and in HD To me it's the best site there is for sprints and midgets I love it . I use it on my smart tv using google tv works great no buffering or any other problems it's worth every penny I pay . it costs 60 bucks a year .

We sincerely apologize for the issues with this weekend’s Silver Dollar Speedway live cybercast. Our crew at the track experienced connectivity issues that were unfortunately beyond our control. Even with extensive pre-race testing the day of the broadcast, the issue wasn’t detected until Saturday night’s broadcast started. Our customers’ satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to make sure they are taken care of and that issues like this are resolved. We have emailed all our customers offering either a refund or a credit toward a future broadcast. For our season pass holders, we've added another California show to make up for the one lost. The archives are posted and can be viewed as well on the website. We are committed to your satisfaction and we hope that you will find this resolution satisfactory. As World of Outlaws fans, we want you to be able to enjoy the coverage, and continue to come back to DIRTVision.com for your coverage of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car series. We will take care of refunds and credits over the next few days to get everyone taken care of as quickly as possible. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

I am not one of their customers but it sure sounds to me like these people are doing their best to keep their present customer base...and keep them happy!

(maybe if I ever get hi-speed I'll try it one time...but with DSL...it is too much buffering!)

The Outlaw broadcasts would be a better fit on account of their mid week races. Once it gets warm here in Minnesota I won't sit in front of the television again on a Saturday night until October. I listen to the audio for both and can usually check out the video hilites by the next morning. I'm from that generation that used to wait two weeks for NSSN to hit the mail box so anything beyond that is good.

Unless you have REALLY slow DSL - you should be able to stream DV OK (when the stream is working correctly). I only get about 2.5mps here from ATT and DV works fine and so does Knoxville - works great for Netflix and Hulu too.

And kudos to DV for making it right for all the frustrated folks -- unfortunately Chico was the ugliest night ever in the history of DV streaming video.

I wasn't even worried about dirtvision's webcast. I was in bed with a woman. Woke up each morning and watched the features on Jackslash. Win, Win situation!!!!

While my frustration level was very high with the Mini Gold Cup and it has been before throughout the last few years with Dirtvision, I am still obliged to notice that they are the only ones (that I know of) that bring the option to follow the WoO on a yearly basis. For that I am grateful. At my job we do live streams very frequently and the amount of available bandwidth that it takes to prevent buffering problems makes it to where we cannot watch the stream on the same network as it is being broadcast from. The bandwidth is too precious. We are always in the same place, with the same setup, and we are indoors. Because of this, we have pretty much perfected the streaming to be able to do our live streams without a hitch. It has taken 2 years of trial and error, multiple upgrades, and quite literally thousands of dollars to get to this point. I can't imagine the difficulty that being outside at multiple venues (usually in the middle of nowhere) brings to the streaming process. Places like Knoxville and other venues that also stream their shows have the benefit of always being in the same place every time... they know what they have and what they need to perform the stream. Dirtvision, for the most part, does not. I'm sure they were just as frustrated as anybody. Anyone that has ever tried to get ANY electronic device working when it should be can probably relate. That said, they have been doing this long enough and charging people long enough that they should be able to invest in this more. The technology is there. I'm sure one of the prerequisites for choosing the tracks that they stream at is the availability of a good internet connection. They could potentially use this requirement to get the tracks on board with investing more in those qualities so that they can get more WoO shows there and therefore be seen abroad. I don't think that someone who has never been to tracks like Knoxville or Eldora (such as myself, somehow) would pass up the chance to visit one of these tracks just because they "already saw it on dirtvision." Come on... that's just more exposure! I'm not pretending to have all of the answers. I just enjoy the opportunity to see the races I can't attend (although I have always said that listening to JG is almost as good as watching). I'd rather offer some constructive criticism than to simply gripe and moan so much that, eventually, DV just says... screw it... we're not going to try anymore. That could happen too, you know. It's business... invest more or invest less. Just my opinion.

Meatbag, going to bed with a woman does not guarantee a man will be successful. Take it from a real old guy! (insert smiley)

Shucks, I go to bed every nite with my 45 right beside me but that doesn't make me a marksman!

filtair, I've never tried it. I am basing it on what happens when I click on the USAC stream. It is constantly buffering. Maybe some weekend I'll give it a try. It does appear they are doing their best to make customers happy.
