CLS is pleased to announce that we have secured usage of the MYlaps laptop/decoder and software necessary to score our CLS cars at all tracks we race this year. The original
concept voted in at the rules meeting in January was that the purse from the first
three races this season would go to purchasing the equipment. Now that will not
be necessary, and all races will be normal purse this season for CLS.

Transponder Placement:

The Transponder must be secured to the left rear of your frame between the two rear bumper spuds. The transponder must be appropriately secured and then wrapped with CLS provided
duct tape. Transponders need to be charged and ready for use each race. If your
transponder is not adequately charged and or not secured appropriately you risk
the possibility of not being scored for your race event.

CLS 2013 Race format:

Hot Lap Session:

Each participant will draw a pill when they register their car for each event. The number you draw will line your car up for your hot lap session. YOU MUST hot lap in your
assigned session.

Qualification Procedure:

Hot lap session will be times by Transponders and will account for qualifying. The car with the fastest lap time recorded by Transponders will be fast qualifier and so on down the
line. Top 4 qualifiers will be awarded championship points, and there will be
an award at the banquet for most Fast Times.

Heat Race Lineup:

Heat races will be lined up totally inverted from qualifying with the fastest qualifier in the back of heat 1, and 2nd fast qualifier the back of heat 2 and so on. Rookies and/or
cars not deemed up to speed will tag the back of heat races. Top 4 finishers
from each heat race will transfer to the main event, the remainder of the heat
race finishers will transfer to a semi if enough cars are available. (In the
event that we have to run 2 heat races only with more than 8 cars we will
transfer the top 5).

Semi Main Lineup:

Semi Main will lineup straight up with the fastest car on the pole and so on back. Rookies and/or cars deemed not up to speed will tag the back. Top 4 finishers from the
semi-main will transfer to the back of the main.

Main Lineup:

The main event will line up the top 4 from each heat race in either an 8 or 10 car inversions from qualifying results. The inversion will be based on total number of entrants at
the event. 16 cars or less the inversion will be 8, 17 cars or more and the
inversion will be 10. After the inversion cars will be lined up straight from
qualifying.
