Don Flanders is an absolute Angel to many many open wheel dirt racers. I know of 13 CRA teams alone he has helped out over the last 5 years. Beside that he has put up several 360 purses when they are running with the 410's and there are several promoters who have received his help. He does this all behind the scenes and wants nothing in return except to see you on the track. He Always has a smile on his face and when you have a bad night, he is right there to put things in perspective. Fight hard Don Flanders, you are one of a kind and we are all praying for you.

Pneumonia. Hopefully treatable with ABs. Don's been a force in trying to get this unlimited sprint car series going at three different racks, including Victorville and Orange Show. =Very= best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Don is the Godfather of unlimited sprint car racing....period. His input was a major ingredient in what we will be doing this year. Personally, he is a guardian angel of the sport I/We love. I think a prayer is the least we all can do for a true gentleman who has quietly kept things rolling for nothing more than a THANK YOU! I fully expect to see him on March 16. Get well soon buddy the BADASS sprint cars are comin' to town!!!!!

The two brothers that owned the car ,,,,frank Bucheit and I can not remember franks brothers name ,,,,,,,along with Don Flanders ,,Made the 911 Sprint car street legal,,,, Frank use to drive the sprinter to the La masa street car shows,, up until about 2 years ago,, there was another member of the car crew that would also drive the car to the car shows then I lost track of them,,,,,ZZ

I think it's great that the person driving it is wearing a helmet. And we all should get one .lol. I wonder if we would need mud flaps.

Tom & Laurie of MOOSE RACING posted this and it's the first direct info I have seen..... so get those cards headed his way!!!!!...."With all that Mr. Flanders has done for racing here in So Cal, it's time for all of us to do something for him.. At the present time he is still in ICU, but he can receive cards. (no flowers ) So please, pop a card in the mail to him... some cheerfull words from racing friends would mean the world to him":

Don has been and still is in a fight for his life. I will leave out the bad days and say that there has been constant improvement since last weekend. I check on Don everyday, but my info is third party hear say from Nurses and not Dr's. They did a Trach on Tues or Wed and then were able to insert a feeding tube. The sedation has been greatly reduced and he now has opened his eyes for short periods at a time. The best part is that he is breathing mostly on his own as of yesterday and hearsay is that he is up to 70% chance for full recovery. After a month in ICU he was moved to a private room on Wed. Room #540. He still needs lots of prayers and thoughts. One disturbing thing to me is he has only received 5 cards to date. Unbelievable .......He will be fully alert in time and these cards will mean alot. When Steve Howard was in Rehab, we went and read all the cards to him and he came alive for the first time in weeks. Show him some Love...............
