Could "supplier" mean parts by any chance. I think Randy..with input from Gerkin...has been building the King's engines for quite a few years. Maybe if Kelly sees this he can enlighten us on the matter.

Maybe the new supplier is FoMoCo or Roushe/Yates

TSR USAC stuff is done by Kistler. Seems like all TSR drivers have different stuff. chassis, engine, wheels, shocks. Not very cost effective in my opinion

I do not think that COST is a major factor for TSR. Smile

kinser has a long standing relationship with maxim....schatz with j&j ....i think tsr lets them run what they each prefer , which seems to work. even tony stewart seems to prefer j&j and did very well with them on his limited schedule

why not? TSR is a business! They have a payroll and everything. They don't just hand people money for grins.

You're probably right though. Tony doesn't care about what money he loses. I heard the Nascar truck race is giving out free drinks and food all night! No big deal.

Some people have no clue

FoMoCo? FoMoCo had about as much input into the Roush Yates engine as if I built an engine in my garage. Roush Yates wanted money from Ford but only got their blessing. Try putting that in your bank account. On Jason Johnson's car, you don't see the word Ford anyplace, just Roush Yates Engines. Ford gave Roush Yates nothing so they responded in kind. Also, I'm guessing Jason Johnson gave little or nothing for that motor. Advertising!

So if I built an engine from scratch, had someone build a block to my specifications and I build the heads and I had a relationship with Chrysler, maybe a Dodge dealer, I could say it was a Chrysler or Dodge engine, I suppose I could call it whatever I wanted to call it. FoMoCo, don't think so. Nascar Roush Yates Ford engines are related to Ford engines, they have things in common. The Roush Yates engine has absolutely nothing in common with Ford engines.

The 410 design that 99.9% of all sprint cars and 99.9% of all late model (late models around 430 to 445 c.i.) teams across the country from your local track to the WoO have much in common with the old 265 c.i. small block Chevy engine. 265 to 283 to 302 to 327 to 350 small blocks and now they build the blocks/heads supplying up to 450 c.i.

JJ's car had Ford on the hood every night it was on the race track in 2012. His 410s are as much Ford as Kinser's is a chevy. The WoO doesn't allow the better stuff even more similar to Ford passenger cars that is available through the Ford Racing cataloge in Ford dealers right this moment. I work at a Lincoln dealership that orders from the same book. Why spend time typing falsehoods?

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Many drivers in the dirt late model world jumped on the Roush/Yates bandwagon after Scott Bloomquist started winning with them but they sure haven't dominated anything. Actually Jimmy Owens Cornett built Ford has done better the last two years than Bloomquist's R/Y Ford.

Looks like they didn't do a change in the motor program. Both Kraig and Steve just dont seem as fast as everyone else.

So then why isn't Ford on JJ's car this year? Surely you of all people must have a good explanation for that?
