The young man not only made the feature at the STN but he earned a 6th starting spot.He was in the dash with Sammy,Jack,McMahan,Jason Johnson, and wright...Pretty big feat for a guy born in 1994...He didn't stop there,he passed all of the above in the feature and led the thing for several laps. One heck of a race for the young man to finish 2nd.Would love to see him race again.I have a feeling i will!!

My first time seeing this young shoe. WOW. Told my boys after seeing him for first time that whoever is in that Ronald Mcdonald car is fast. Boy did we find out just how fast after Saturdays feature. Did you catch Gary Wrights quote..."I have underwear older than the kid starting next to me!" in the dash. Funny stuff

Bell looked really good at the Devil's Bowl National ASCS national race I was at a week ago. 2nd that night I believe? Was all over the leader multiple times.
2 different cars, 2 different tracks & he looks good again. He's onto something right now & figured out how to drive. Good for him! It's cool seeing new faces become a force to be reckoned with.

Really thought it wasn't very nice of JJ to run over him in the Gamblers Dash.....
Young man drove a hell of a race.

Saw the kid do double duty this year, a 305 and 410 the same night at fremont. Ran very well in both. Good to see him run so well at stn and look forward to seein what he can do on the Allstar tour. Gettin props from Kyle Larson, Ricky stenhouse and brad doty on twitter has to be pretty cool for a 17 yr old driver!

NO. The Ferkel car is on a rent a ride deal. I wish the kid would drive something better, seems like a dead end to me.
do it in the dirt

He finished second on the Friday night prelim. I was sitting in turn four at the Bowl and the PA system wasn't working down there that night. I've seen that yellow #17 at Devils Bowl several times. I think that the car is out of Houston if I'm not mistaken. I had never seen it run that well though. I went down to victory lane after the races to see if I could tell who was driving it, but I didn't recognize a very young man. I found out later that his name was Christopher Bell. I have to say I was very impressed. He was running well on the Saturday night feature too, but he broke. Too bad he pulled off, because I think he would have made it interesting at the end.

It's not a "rent-a-ride" Mr. Ferkel sought Chris out to drive his car. Please actually know some facts before you type.

Chris is a kid out of Norman, Oklahoma that cut his teeth in racing in micro sprints, then had a little less then a year in a midget and got the call from Ferkel to drive his 410 sprint in Ohio. Chris is a great kid, and very deserving of this. He has made his own breaks in this sport and that is hard to do. All of us here in Oklahoma are very proud of him and not the least bit shocked with his success of late. He is going to be fun to watch next year and the years to come.

You are correct. It is not a Rent to Ride deal
There is actually a funny story how a friend of Ricks suggested he have Christopher drive for him and lied to Rick that He was 18 when he was really only 16! Rick took a chance and its been a great mentorship.
Here is a post from Christophers father on our facebook page. Please follow us at facebook/ferkelracing
Rick and Cathy Ferkel took a chance on putting such a young driver in their car late last summer. From midgets to a 410 is a huge step. Christopher jumped at the opportunity to learn from the best. We cannot thank you enough for this and the support he has from the area. He is looking forward to learning more, and driving the 0 car again in the All Star series and at local tracks in Ohio next season. He fully realizes that to be successful in this sport he must continue to learn and be advised by Rick and Cathy. So, thanks for staying with him and we look forward to next season in Ohio!

Ferkel Racing....props to you for taking a chance on a young talent and helping him grow. His fan base has taken a big jump as a result of his performances the last two weeks. Great job.

I visited with Chris and his mother at Little Rock in the pits. They are very humble and realize the opportunity Chris has, and are appreciative. Mom told me the story about the age question, very funny. I wish him all the best.

Will you be racing in Florida in February? If so, me and a couple of buddies may be interested in helping out with some dollars if you're at Volusia. I live in Woodville and my buddy is from Sidney, Ohio.
