The URSS Jetmore win was nice way to celebrate his 62nd birthday. He turned 62 years young on August 19th.
This weekend he will be racing at the three NCRA 360 shows at Hays, Wichita and Belleville.

Thanks for the update, Tony. Mike looks as smooth as he did 30 years ago.

A rare double set of wins at 81 on Sunday night for Mike Peters.
NCRA 305 show and the non-wing show.
It's been 10 years since he drove non-wing car. The last time was at Jetmore in 2002.
I also remember one other time in the mid 90's he won a 360 show and 410 show at 81 on the same night.
He was driving the Phillips 66 for Court Grandstaff and a 7x car owned by a guy in Newton he had salvage on the west side town.
I can't remember car owners name.
I did talk to Mike about the 12n car. He did drive it one time in 1979 at 81. He said the car was bad about getting over on the right front and had a push to it. He said it felt like it was too soft on right side. He said after he drove it he thought there were some changes made to shock and coil over package to improve the handling.
I did see some pictures of the 12n car that Dennis Dye bought to the track on Sunday and it did have coil overs on the rear. He also had the picture that I havn't been able to find yet.
Hopefully he can post the pictures on the site.
Tony

Congrats to Mike on his double up. Something he should be proud of. I couldn't be there, but heard that he put on quite a performance without the wing.
