Good luck in Chico tonight!! With It binging 100+ There is not enough water in Ca to put on that track. That is why I will not be making the trip up north Like I had planed.

Good luck And happy racing

There was a total of 20 cars...12 410's and 8 360's. Typical single groove racing that yielded very little passing...which has been chico's track every week yet nothing changes..you would think they would try something different since all anyone does on here is complain about how bad Chico is EVERY week! Forsberg won the 360 main by 3/4 of a lap and if they would have raced the 25 laps instead of 20 he would have lapped the entire field. Stands were actually packed which was a great thing...too bad everyone had to sit through way too MANY 15 minute breaks so they could drag the show out until almost 10pm.

You can only drag out a show so long....Chico gets the award for doing it with so many breaks last night!

I am glad I stayed home and saved the hundred bucks for gas food and beer. Thank for the update.

I don't thinks it's fair to complain about this weeks program. They had the 360s run 2 heats one inverted to give the fans more for the money. They alowed the 360s to run with the 410s without more entry fee to help the racers out and I thought the track was great considering the weather.

We got to see Andy Forsberg win his 99th & 100th features, I think all in all it was a nice night of racing.

I'm also noticing that Dennis Gage is much more visable than he used to be. In my opinion they have been working hard to make things better and if I get near him sometime Intend to tell him that I appreciate the efforts.

Were YOU at the same one groove race track as I was??????

Look at ALL the MANY posts about how Chico has been all year...one lane railroad track.

I dont know why they have heat races as it is a follow the leader deal EVERY week.

With a little less then a month away they better get there stuff togeather for gold cup

I have gone for the last 20+ years this year Iam not shue I will go.

I was at the mini gold cup and It just plain sucked.I have heard nothing good all year long.

I have been to 2 other races there and they were one lane racing. Once was a first time for my friend who loves motocross And he was disapointed with the no passing.

Good luck chico!!

I was at the same race you were. I didn't say it was the best race I've ever been to but it was entertaining and was not drawn out to bore the fans and sell consesions. How do you expect the guys running 2 classes to do it without giving them a little time to work on their cars? Also a couple of 360's made good runs against the 410's on the 'one groove racetrack".

I've missed quite a few races there this year but I try to support as best I can, including going to the last enduro witch alot of us "sprint car fans" would be too good for. I just see more effort from SDS trying to keep a venue open for us all to enjoy and I'm trying to reward them by going as much as I can.

Three strikes and there out. First I would talk to someone, Second. The manager third would be the last. If I know mr.Gage I would tell me what I thought about the crew that does the track.

Are you out of your mind? Do you work on a race car?? It doesnt take 20 minutes to fuel a car, make an adjustment and maybe change a tire. The races were over before 10pm taking a bunch of breaks....if they took less then everyone was home at 9! They tried the best they could to drag out a 2 hour show into a 3 hour comedy routine Smile

Why do you see EVERY sprint car hot lap the same groove and then qualify the same groove...anyone half blind could see the one lane going into turn 1 and choppy above that. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY ALL YEAR!!! I would think they would make some changes in the program to TRY and help things...but it is the same s*** just a different week! Go to Tulare, Watsonville, Petaluma and see how they run their show and have multiple grooves.

Ya right, all a sprint car needs is a few minutes work between races throw a tire at it and your ready to win. And no I don't work on a race car now but I did race for 12 years in my younger years and know you could win your last race and work on your car for hours afterwards.

You don't have to agree with me but I think they ARE trying to make things better.I hope all goes well next week, it could be alot of fun.If you want I'll buy you a beer.

Kyle Larson will be in Chico this weekend (Friday and Saturday). I'm going to Ocean Friday and Chico Saturday. I hope the track is decent for the KWS race.

If it is anything like what I saw last night you will be disappointed! I just can't believe that so many people still give their money to Gage for one lane garbage like that. I can only hope they admit the reconfiguration is a failure and put the original banking back in the track asap. Larson tried the top several times late in the race last night and, just like for TK at the Bradway, there is nothing there to keep your momentum up. You can feel free to leave the gold cup after the dash draw because that is how they will finish the feature.

The track tonight will make my choice if I will go to the Gold Cup. If it is one lane racing I will stay home and listen to it on Dirtvision. I will go to Calistoga and Antioch though.

23 sprint cars took qualifications, 21 made it to the A. From the Turn 4 bleachers I didn't see anything I would call "dry slick". Kyle Larson come from 7th to finish 3rd. I didn't expect anyone else to give Andy Forsberg and Jon Allard much trouble when they started on the front row. Smile

Overall, I thought it was a good race.

How many passes in the heats friday night?? How many grooves on Saturday? When Danielle Simpson can win a heat race on the previous 2 weeks and was on her way again to win when something happened,,..just shows you the track is a 1 lane railroad track. The track was going away in the middle during qualifying and nothing was done to the track and NOTHING is ever done. Its great to have a 11.8 or 12.0 second lap every week then have no passing the rest of the night frown

They announced they have lots of tickets on sale still for the gold cup...I wonder why????
