The Class of 2012 has been announced for the Huset's Speedway Hall of Fame and the induction ceremonies will be held THIS SUNDAY.
Gary DeWall, David Kruger, Bill Smith, Doug Clark and Chuck McGillivray will be the latest inductees to the Hall of Fame, entering it's 15th year of existence.
The festivities will begin on Sunday at 3 at the 212 Bar and Grill in Brandon. Each inductee and 20 of their guests will partake in a social, including a meal sponsored by PowerBrokers, Inc, from 3 to 5. This event is open to the public and there will be vintage and restored racecars in the parking lot at 212 that day as well. If you have a restored or vintage racecar that you would like to display, please e-mail Rod Pattison at [email protected] to confirm details. Cars will be on display from 3 til 5 at the 212 in Brandon.
Then each of the 5 inductees will be in a reception line, autograph area at Huset's Speedway on the south end of the walkway near the office from 5:30 to 6:00. This will be a GREAT way for fans to meet the inductees and take a trip down memory lane. Each inductee has been asked to bring some old pictures and any kind of memorabilia to display as well.
Finally, the induction ceremony itself will be at intermission of the races on Sunday. Family and friends are welcome to come down to the track to take pictures and share in the festivities then as well.
