It's good to see my alltime favorite sprintcar driver get back into victory lane. Brent won at Ocean earlyer in the season and now on the KWS tour. Keep those wins coming, and run more nonwing races.

"and run more nonwing races." That is officially the funniest thing I've heard all week now.

Where? And Sidewayz if you go back enough decades you will find him winning without a wing at Calistoga too. I think he ran the fist Vermeil and hasn't run one since. It's no mystery that he's not all that fond of non-wing racing in recent years.

I'll be at Ocean to watch BK on both nights. The nonwing races Brent has run this year have been awesome to see. The way he drives the car has an oldschool look to it.

OK, ok.... let's not get all crazy here. I'm happy BK won Saturday, think it's awesome and I think he is one hell of a racer still to this day. Wish he'd still head down to the Oval Nationals, I enjoy seeing him run. I've always admired Brent and any of the guys that can run wingless or with the wing up top. But the whole "when the flyin shu thought he was good in a non wing" comment is a bit much...lmao. Ronnie Shuman is pretty much the "Gold Standard" when it comes to wingless racing. To insinuate that "The Flyin Shoe" was some guy out there pretending to know what he was doing is foolish. Brent was/is a very good non winged racer..and the few times he picked off the CRA boys in NoCal was cool...but c'mon. Comparing apples to oranges.

So by calling shuman the gold standard, must only be adding to the greatness of BK. What makes this even more impressive, he is still winning races at the age he is.... I am not in no way saying anything negative about shuman. Obviously he was one of the best with and without the wing,,, this was one of my dads favorite drivers.

Tim Green was another one of the guys that would take the wing off and run up front with CRA guys. You guys make me miss the late 80's/early 90's. Lealand McSpadden was my guy in that series.

If Shuman is the gold standard, what does that make the Tempe Tornado?

I though it was perty chicken shi ! of bk to run sanders off the track during there heat race sat. And I think Kyle Hirst was way too nice to the old fart. Kyle had the faster car, bk was hogging the track, Think Kyle should have given him alittle love tap a couple times, I know if it was the other way around bk would have. In the end it was a good race. Nice to see bk get one. jmo.

They way i seen that pass on sanders was good hard racing... BK beat him to a spot, justin tried driving around him on the outside off two. Well one problem there is a ramp on the back straight.

witty1 - totally agree with you. sidewayz, not sure where you were sitting and what your vantage point was, but IMO BK new he was there and pushed up to keep him from going around. Good job to Justin on recovering and making the dash.

14s fan.... with respect to both drivers, cause ive cheered for both... justin was faster then bk in that heat, but bk beat him to a spot, not to say that justin couldnt get him in a lap or two.... but sometimes you need to protect the car. again, nothing taken away from justin, hes a great talent
