Congratulations to former WoO Sprint Car Champion--Dave Blaney for RACING his way into Sunday's Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Race. Way to go Dave !!!! Last year he drove his Tommy Baldwin owned Cup car into the season ending top 35 in points thus earning an automatic starting spot in the first five cup races this year--but because Tommy Baldwin's team was in need of money to race this season Baldwin sold the rights to the guaranteed starting spot to Tony Stewart Racing so Danica Patrick would be assured of starting the first five cup races in 2012.
How about former Sprint car and silver crown champion DAVE BLANEY today actually racing his way into this year's Daytona 500--what a concept--having to race (not buy your way) into that big race. Hope it ends being a good pay day for Dave and his family.

danica is not racing the first five cup races of 2012. she is only running the first cup race. david reutiman will have the benefit of the guaranteed starting spot in the remaining four races. so tommy baldwin racing gave up one guaranteed starting spot and got help from RHR and SHR and will be able to run their second car for the whole season and get owner points not a bad deal. with out that help blaney and reutiman might not have been running the full season. you should be thanking SHR and danica instead of slamming them.
also didn't danica end up qualifying her way into the show on time any way. if so, she earned her spot.
to indy and beyond!!

i took the "not buy your way" remark as a derogatory slam at SHR.
you can take it however you want.
i agree with the congrats to tommy and dave. glad to see TBR with two cars in the show and the extra help from RHR and SHR
to indy and beyond!!

food for thought...EVERYONE races their way in. even last years champ Stewart. That would have made today so much more important. but break up the field and make them heat races.
doesnt hurt to dream.

I took is as more of a slam at Danica than SHR... from reading previous posts over the years, badger boy seems to be a Stewart fan.

No one RACES at the world center of lies anymore. No matter what the puppets scream at us on "SPEED" channel. It has even deballed great former racers like Blaney. Let em run about 230 or take the spoilers and give em an 8 inch tire and then we'll see them RACE again.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
