For those of you that don't know Donnie, he was the son of sprint car champion Donnie Ray Crawford, and the grandson of NCRA Super Modified Champion Ray Crawford. Donnie was a upcoming sprint car, and midget racer out of Tulsa, OK. Just last year he scored the biggest win of his young career winning the Wednesday night preliminary at the Chili Bowl. This year he was back at the Chili Bowl to race in his Hard 8 midget when this tragedy occurred . Donnie became a U-tube sensation when he saved female midget racer Harli White from her burning car a few years back. Harli was also at this years Chili Bowl racing for California's top female midget driver, Shannon McQueen. Donnie was liked by everyone at the race tracks he competed at, and was a great friend to everyone in the sprint car, and midget racing community!
RIP Donnie! We will miss you!
