I am working on a little project and need a little help. In 1980 Doug Wolfgang started driving for Doug Howells. I need a color photo of the car from late 1980 early 1981 it had white hood with a black or dark brown part over the injectors with his name painted on it. Also had a matching stripe down the tail tank. Lee Johnson has one of him in the car but Don Mack's name is painted on it. I need the photo with Doug's name on it. If anyone has one please let me know.

I think that color scheme for Wolfgang was very short lived. By the 1980 Nationals the car was all white.
My photos from Knoxville show Don Mack on the hood for the late May Friday night WoO show and on Saturday the Mack was painted over with black.

I was at the World of Outlaw race in Boone, Iowa May 24, 1981 and he was driving with that scheme. Gary Scott won the feature that night. I have some video footage of him in that car but it is to far away to see the detail.

Interesting... I shot a bunch of Wolf in 81 and it was always all white. Maybe they hauled that older body/chassis out for a couple shows.
Regardless...hopefully someone has a shot of it.

The white car you shot is a trostle car. The chassis on this one looks different taller cage might be an Osborne or a Maxwell? This is the car I need a color photo of.
