The cover of this program featured Jimmy Oskie and Jim Peacock on the cover. It was my first race that my dad took me to when I was 2. Rick Goudy won the main followed by Oskie, John Morton and Danny McNight. Here were the 1973 entries:

I enjoyed reading the names on this program. It is interesting to see how many of these people or their relatives are still involved in sprint car racing.

The number 15 Morales Brothers Turbo-Offy 270 is interesting. In 1973 the last year of unrestricted boost for the Indy Turbo Offy, they made around 1200 H.P. during qualifying and were detuned to between 900-1000 H.P. for the race. 900-1000 H.P. engine lasting 500 miles without a rebuild almost 40 years ago. I wonder how many miles Mitchell and Spencer are getting with their 900-925 H.P. engines between rebuilds?

"and now qualifying in the four car is Ron Rea in the Majestic Chrysler Plymouth Chevy". I always got a kick out of hearing that line.

Brings back great memories. Saw most of the Friday night races for many years. Miss those days and the big thing was it was all sprints, no other classes.

They would occasionally run full Midgets on the same program. I remember watching Rick Goudy win one night in both classes.
